The slightest bump in a map can cause your mongoose to stop. Or flip erratically. Y
They’re so damn light. I tried splattering someone with a ghost and he somehow -Yoinking!- lived? Not cool
Halo 3’s vehicle physic was the best.
We’ve gone back to Halo CE vehicle physics.
At least I’m not the only one who does not like the vehicle physics in Halo 5.
When your ghost flips, and you gotta watch it pull off three barrel rolls with a pefect landing before you can actually drive it, that’s the smaller vehicle physics right there.
How about when a stationary Scorpion splatters a pilot right out of a flying Banshee?
Im not joking.
Or when you accidentally splatter your teammate with a Warthog when all you did was lightly side scrape him AFTER he survived and recovered from being rammed head on full speed?
Well, it’s way better than at launch. Before they updated the physics, the warthog would literally flip for like 30 seconds
H5 has really bad physics unfortunately…I can’t even -Yoink- around and melee teammates like in the bungie titles which sucks. The banshee flips are really bad too compared to H2…If the physics were as good as the bungie iterations I would be lit…But for now it’ll do…The games 343i made so far seem a little incomplete compared to bungie. I hope that they can get it right next time or do something about their recent mistakes.

I’ve rammed a teammate at full speed with a warthog before, he survived but just got blasted to the other side of the map. But when I’m going like half speed and the wheel barely nudges them, they instantly die.

Yeah I bet Isaac Newton is spinning in his grave
I’ve noticed differences in handling with each Warthog. Some are more susceptible to flipping and rolling than others, but yes… it sucks.
the flips are certainly annoying, but what I hate the most is going full speed into someone, hitting them from behind and they dont die. Then I get barely tapped by an opposing player and insta death. The physics are off, but the randomness is what annoys me most.

Yep

That’s exactly what i was going to say.
Also my ghosts seem to love to flip over the tiniest things. Don’t even mention a mongoose for that situation.
Driving a vehicle in Halo 5 feels like your driving on a slip-n-slide, to be honest. It’s very noticeable with the Scorpion. Turning that thing is a nightmare! It’s probably too late to get them to fix the vehicle physics in this game, though. Hopefully it gets fixed in Halo 6. It would make BTB more enjoyable if you didn’t flip over every 10 seconds.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Halo 5, it’s one of the best multiplayer games in the halo series. However, my biggest gripe with the vehicle physics would be their interaction with grenades. Back in the day a well placed grenade under a warthog would flip the vehicle and cause their original directional course to be thrown off. Which made for some great “save” moments when the opposing team is running away with the flag in a vehicle. However, in Halo 5 not only do grenades have little to no effect on all vehicles they also barely cause any damage to them.
I suppose constantly being “splattered” by tanks when I’m trying to board them is a small annoyance as well but I miss flipping vehicles with a well placed time grenade.
Flipping because of the slightest bump sucks, but getting a Ghost stuck to a man cannon is worse.
I hate the vehicle physics in this game. I found Halo 3 to 4 the best.
