While this may not be constructive, I’m gonna vent. Just got a 2v4 and then right after got two 3v4’s back to back. I get it, it’s a beta and people are crashing on their PC’s made out of drift wood but FFS do what every other competitive esports title does and add a reconnect option. That can’t be too hard to achieve, right? Along with that, give them a time limit to reconnect and if they don’t, instant 30 min cooldown. On top of this crashing nonsense, I’m convinced that the player matching algorithm was wrote by an engineers child or an orangutan at a zoo. Tell me why I’m sitting in onyx getting nothing but platinum players on my team against a team with 2 onyx players and diamond 6’s? Between the crashing and the horrible player matching, I’ve managed to drop from Onyx down to Diamond 5 over the past 2 1/2 days. Something has to give here.
Yeah youre telling me ive been trying to grind up to diamond 6 and all my teammates have been ranked significantly worse than me. They also add in bots if someone leaves that literally feed the other team kills. I hate carrying.
I’m more sick of BTB having 5 players on my team because the matchmaking is so garbage that people drop like flies from crashing or being stuck in the loading screen, but yeah, in Quick Play, I’d like my worthless bot to at the very least be a Spartan bot, not a Recruit bot, so it’s not just free kills for the enemy team. Same for Arena.
Totally agree with this. Had two games in a row with 3v4 - both objective based matches. Of course, I lost both matches.
And adding insult to injury, my CSR ranking dropped too after those two matches.
Also, it does seem like some of the match loading is really drawn out…which makes me wonder what is happening to players and/or servers as a match is getting ready to launch.
I am at diamond 4 and every time my team gets trashed I check the ranks of my team and the enemy team - I get unranked players in my team half of the time getting 2 kills 20 deaths and 25% accuracy.
The matchmaking tiers seem to be broken? bronze, silver, and gold seem to be pointless ranks, everyone just gets thrown into high plat / diamond straight away and just floats around in these tiers, with a huge skill gap between players supposedly worthy of the same rank. I thought that diamond would be hard to achieve and I set the goal for myself before launch that I would hit diamond rank, but after my placement matches it put me in high plat and 2-3 games later I was diamond.
If the matchmaking system ISN’T broken, then I think it must be attributed to duo queuers, where some guy with a high rank queues with his terrible friend and they are put into a high rank match which shouldn’t be allowed in my opinion, as it ruins the ranked match for the other team members. They should only allow ranked duo queuers to be in the same bracket, so diamond player can only queue with another diamond, and plat with plat, etc.
