I really hope the person applying for that job is someone who was actually a huge fan of the original trilogy and played those games religiously. We need someone who played Halo through its first cycle that really understands the game at its core, not just someone who is in it for the money. I really hope they are selective in their picking process for their new Creative Director.

I would do it for free… well maybe minimum wage… after all got bills to pay lol
I’d take a shot at it long as my utilities were covered and I could meet my basic needs/find some way to maintain pursuit of a college education.

Despite mainly being a story guy, I think that anyone who’s really, really put themselves into the entire Halo experience for the Original Trilogy AND who’s stuck it out for the following games is the best candidate they could go for. You need to know how players think when they play the game- average, new, below average, competitive, old timer… everybody.
Players come with entirely different castes of mindsets, and it should be the CD’s job to make sure everyone’s catered to without alienating any one major facet of the community. It’s one heckuva job, and one that I bittersweetly envy, but I reckon with a legacy like Halo’s it shouldn’t be -that- hard to find a CD who really knows what the series needs.
