Honestly the other halo games had no real reason to be rated M
Why would I be sad? It doesn’t matter…
No, because the rating doesn’t matter.
This doesn’t matter.

The T rating has no affect on how the game is, it’s vice versa, they make the game and then ESRB gives it a rating. The only thing holding back past Halos from a T rating was the flood, and Reach if I remember correctly didn’t have a single curse word in it so I have no idea why that was rated M.
I think it is more of the rating board catching up to the times. My 2 cents.
Not at all. The only possible explanation for why previous games were rated M were the flood, and that one scene of the lab being composed. Those are the only things close to “graphic.” Other than that the violence is all rather tame. It’s not gory or bloody. Cursing is to a minimum, and what little there is nothing is on the level of say the F bomb. There are no sexual themes. Pretty much no reason why any previous Halo should have been rated M in the first place. So, honestly, I’m not normally this guy, but get over it. Of all the mistakes 343 has made a T rating is not one. It affects nothing. Plus, it was out their control to begin with.
Halo wars (why does nobody count this?) And not really because very early in the game it shows someone stab someone in the neck with a knife multiple times so the brutality and seriousness is still there. Plus destiny is rated T and that hasnt prevented it from being a great game
I guess Halo Wars doesn’t exist…

Kat’s booty.
I’m not sad… In fact I’m freaking overjoyed with this! Do you know what this means?! I can kill all of the nooby 12-16 year old kids as many times as I want in Warzone and Arena!
So there is limited cursing and no naked AI in the game, big deal. As far as the mechanics of the game, Halo is still Halo. Personally I don’t think it will effect the ability to tell a good story. Plus, online interactions aren’t rated by ESRB so there will be plenty of twelvies screwing your mom and yelling every profane word in the book.
are you kidding? Halo should have always been T, it hardly counts as a mature game especially this day in age. Just like with Destiny making it T is a briliant way to include a much larger consumer base. and for everyone who thinks little kids will ruin it or that T will ruin the game, just remember that a larger consumer base means more money they can put into the next game

This ^^^
Nothing in Halo has been that extreme to justify the rating, so much so that I didn’t even notice that this was the first one that had been lowered.
Either Society realizes teens can handle violence, or this game is no as killtacular as usual. Either way it shouldnt really matter since it still looks dope.
The only reason H1-H3 were rated M was because it had the flood in it. The only reason H4 was M was because of that one Tillson scene. There’s no reason in the normal combat that the game should be M.

ESRB description
Halo Reach: “This is a first-person shooter in which players engage in futuristic battles against invading aliens. Players use pistols, sniper rifles, machine guns, grenade launchers, and swords to kill enemies during frequent and fast-paced combat. Characters are occasionally impaled on glowing swords, and aliens can be seen stabbing fallen figures during some battle sequences. Gun fights are highlighted by realistic gunfire sound effects, explosions, and screams of pain. Human and alien characters emit spurts of blood when injured; players are able to shoot dead enemies, causing more blood to splash out. Blood is sometimes depicted on the walls and ground.”
Hmm, guess it was all the blood you could spurt from the dead.
No mention of Kat’s booty.

The kind of thing that caused a game to be pulled and re-rated as AO 10 years ago is now somewhat commonplace in M games (GTA: San Andreas). It’s certainly not the only factor, but things change over time and I think it’s more telling of how society views violence than it is about changes in the content of Halo.
Nope.
All good.
I don’t see an issue.
