so I got a 25$ Visa card as a gift and I used some of it to buy a gold pack, later on I went to the store and bought a 25$ Xbox card, and used some of it to buy a gold pack. I am now deeply regretting buying those packs simply because of the terrible copy and paste with an extra line through it armor pieces that I got. Also the single use reqs that I got were terrible as well, mongoose, carbine, etc. These are GOLD packs for Christ sakes, that stuff should be in bronze and silver packs. Anyway, I regret this desicion and with never buy another pack again. Reply down below if you feel the same.
I’ve never spent real money on REQ packs. I’ve recently unlocked all the armor/helmets and weps. Though, if I had purchased a REQ pack with real money, I too would probably deeply regret it, knowing how easy and random they are to get. Also note, if you haven’t finished unlocking your common/uncommon/rare REQs, there is a chance you’ll get those instead of ultra rare/legendary when you open gold packs.
Edit: Aside from the real money purchase only packs. It’s always cool to show love for what you love with exclusive stuff.
Depending on whether you had everything unlocked from common to rare you might not get a lot of anything good from them without having done that already. Gold packs also unlock and give items anywhere from uncommon to mythic, so without having a lot of high rarity items already unlocked you would only get smaller lesser value items.
I’ve never bought any packs as I didn’t see any purpose in wasting on money hoping too get something I would use. I also don’t use 90% of my reqs as well.
If you do plan on buying any gold packs make sure your bronze and silver are completed before doing so.
The only packs I bought were the HCS skins. Regular packs aren’t worth buying in my opinion since it’s all RNG.
Nope. I have always spent extra money on Halo stuff the packs weren’t much different. but that guy metamatrix apparently does

I regretted buying halo 5 and an Xbox one.
Only packs I’ve bought are the CLG, nV, and Optic packs. Oh and I think one or two of the HCS packs.

I was going to get an Xbox one either way but I regret getting the halo 5 edition. Worst 500$ I’ve spent.

I did the same I assumed all limited editions would be s class models like before so I figured no other one would exceed in memory.
Plus it reduced in price fairly quick with in a week it dropped by 100 bucks and as low as 200.
Bought all the armor of Memories of Reach with money, don’t regret it.
Not really, after the silver grind is over, buying packs is much more rewarding.
I tried to use points to buy req packs… I bought a couple with real money but… I just find that its a bit much. you know I can log in pay ten bucks and get some armor.
I guess I prefer the old system where they placed it behind skill requirements and kill counters… though at times the number of kills required was stupid.

Oh my goodness yes, I wasted like $100 on gold REQ packs in celebration of completing my silver packs. Now I’m low on cash and I need to choose between Battlefield 1 and Gears of War 4.
I only buy limited edition REQ packs. I will just keep playing for golds!
Yeah I bought a few yesterday got -Yoink- so I’m pretty disappointed
I refuse to buy a pack with real money. That is the one thing in H5 I hate the most. I can’t be too mad at 343. Consumers have already proven they will purchase a micro-transaction so why not do it? My problem with it is, lets pretend for a moment, I buy a silver pack for $1.99. In that pack there is potential to get an armor/visor/helmet. But what if I don’t??? I just spent my money on a pack that gave me CONSUMABLE digital data!!! One use and it’s (power weapon maybe?) gone!!! Forever!!! Poof!!! In some cases you are lucky to have that thing for more than a few seconds!!! Seriously!! How much of an edge on the opponents did you just pay for!!! Nominal at best and now my 2 bucks is gone. lol Too each their own but I won’t do it. There is nothing to earn from it. And honestly, I personally don’t take the time to figure out what gun variation just killed me in a game or what their armor looks like.

yea I probably will. But then some of my other friends have battlefield so idk what to get.
I get 6000 back from each gold pack and I get 4000+RP per game of warzone with my boost stockpile. What you spend $3 on takes me 10 minutes of game time to earn. Ha. I laugh.
