The Plasma Rifle was always my favorite weapon. Halo 4 has the Storm Rifle, but that’s mostly a re-skin of the Plasma Repeater from Halo Reach, one of the two crappy weapons that I didn’t like in that game.

Yep I really miss it, its probably my favourite Halo weapon of them all (in terms of appearance). It has character, a great design and its been in all other Halo games. All 343 had to do was update the gameplay characteristics of the PR, like they have done with every other weapon in H4, and it would have been awesome.
It’s a real shame that such an iconic weapon of Halo got replaced by the ugly lump that is the Storm Rifle. I find it completely unremarkable looking.
Well, the Plasma Repeater and Rifle performed nearly the same, but the repeater had a faster RoF and manual cooldown. Storm Rifle has auto cooldown and slower RoF, making it more like the Plasma Rifle.
I did like the appearance of the Rifle, though, and the Storm Rifle just sounds like “du du du du du du du du du”
On the otehr hand, its not like I used either anyways.
