In order to re-accustom themselves to H4’s movement speed and jump heights? I recently fired up H3 multiplayer off my ODST multiplayer disc, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that I still remember how to move and play with H3’s physics.
Also, I had forgotten how insanely fast-paced H3 games were. I can’t wait for H4 to come round so that I can feel as though I’ve earned my sprees once again.
And as a side note, I had also forgotten how much harder it was to snipe in H3 versus Reach. I’m really hoping that the sniper is more similar to H3’s controls versus Reach, since I now realize that I’m a scrub sniper when I don’t have Reach’s aim assist holding my hand.
Ok, we get it, some people don’t like Reach and rather then accepting it and moving on they have to constantly remind everybody…

But I do like Reach. I’m just saying that I had forgotten how H3 (and hopefully H4) was much faster and required more skill. Considering I haven’t played it since 2008, that’s kind of a valid argument.

You can talk about how much you forgot about how Halo3 played without insulting another game.

He’s not insulting another game. Reach was, in most aspects slower than H3. And well, its the sad truth. I like Reach too(hence the name), but H3 for the most part was faster, although Reach does have its moments.
OP: Nah, I’m not for one reason: LOAD TIMES!!! I mean lol jesus, it takes forever to get a game when I play. But I may play a few customs in order to get the physics down, but as far as I’m concerned, its gonna be different in terms of physics bc it plays like H3 with some Reach. As far as I could tell anyway…
Yay Halo!!!

Yay Halo!!!
I didn’t find Reach slower at all. The speed is pretty much the same as always.
H3 actually felt a little slow after playing Reach. My GF and I just played it last week because we missed some of the maps. It was weird getting used to the button arrangement too.

I tried going through Halo3 as well, and after Reach I forgot how much I disliked no health. I didn’t feel like I could shoot while moving to cover, I felt like I had to shoot while in cover.
Halo 3 certainly had more fusion coils lol
You know, if you head over to the Halo Council and you try to debate that Halo 3 was good, you’ll thrown on your butt. I enjoyed it but going back to it, it’s clear that the netcode and non hitscan registration is frustrating. Not AL and Jetpack frustrating but still bad enough to affect one’s mood. Especially against foreign hosts who seem to have no dropped shots and sponge like invincibility.
Halo 3 did have strafes and high jumps but was slow as hell. Not Reach slow but certainty not Halo 2/CE levels. Halo 4 seems to be giving us back the high jumps and strafes as well sprint w/ faster movement speeds. Take from that what you will.
I’ve actually been playing a bit of ODST’s campaign lately, thought it would fit better to Halo 4’s Spartan Ops style of gameplay.
Sadly, no. My H3 disc broke, but I plan on picking up a new copy of ODST that comes with the full multiplayer experience.
