what do you see?

in the video, the burning end of the FUD is facing the Legendary planet.

in the wallpaper, its facing away.

yeah, i noticed it a month or two ago while looking at my desktop, and i just barely got around to posting a thread about it.

the poster was done for mystery’s sake, and to keep it attractive. it showcases the sense of the unknown we will be up against in halo 4, and that everybody is heading toward it. It would not be as attractive if the back end was to the opening.

As for the trailer, it was for excitement purposes, to give the viewer some eye candy and destruction, shwcasing a hectic environment, for entertainment purposes.

Who knows how it will be in the game. The trailer was 3rd party, and 343 made the wallpaper, so I’m assuming the wallpaper will be correct.

Is it me, or does the stern of the Forward Unto Dawn seen in that wallpaper, look different then it did in Halo 3?

There’s plenty difference between the trailer and the wallpaper, not that it matters.

Just like the planets opening in the trailer is like an indented iris, rotating outward. But in the poster its folds out like a hatch.

I don’t think either truly represents the actual game though.

Every time I watch that trailer, I fall in love with the game Bungie created all over again and I get pumped for Halo 4 even it won’t be produced by them :frowning: !!! XD

The ‘Starry Night’ one still gives me goosebumps! xD
