Anyone else not really excited for Tyrant?

I mean, we JUST had a space map, and it’s not like the “fighting on an asteroid with Forerunner structures” thing is a new concept. We had two maps in Halo 4 that fit that description (well, Impact had some UNSC structures), and the giant sun really close in the sky isn’t even a new concept within Halo 5. There’s nothing really interesting about this map. It’s like a glorified Forge map made on Parallax.

I mean yes, we finally get another Forerunner map, but so what? Forerunner maps were cool because they had these grand vistas and megastructures. This is just some little arena on an asteroid in a generic space setting.

It looks better than most of the maps we currently have so yes I am looking forward to it, if I will like it is another question.

I don’t pre judge maps. Why would anyone pre judge a map?

I’m not “pre-judging” the map. I’m analyzing what information I have and talking about my excitement levels. I’m not automatically calling it a bad map.

Be less defensive.

I am actually excited for it. I believe 343 learned from the 3 previous mistakes.

However, adding sword back into Overgrowth isn’t a good sign.

By that logic every map in halo is “a glorified forge map,” most could easily be remade in forge.

I meant that the aesthetic is something that could be redone in Forge, because obviously any map’s physical layout can be remade in Forge.

Forerunner structures? Check (can make stuff look Forerunner by playing with shininess and using primitive blocks)

I’m excited. It’ll be nice to have a map that isn’t so similar to the rest.

You never know it might be good

I am excited for it. I so far haven’t minded any of the new Arena maps, and I prefer playing Arena over Warzone, so this is good for me. Not to say I hated the remix maps, but I am so very, very glad that this new map is it’s own map, and not a remix.

How so?

Its aesthetic is similar to the rest, and it’s just another generic symmetrical small map since 343 is afraid of angering the competitive crowd.

im not a forger or a content creater so tbh all i care about is how the map plays.looks are a secondary to me. atleast 343i have listened to the community in wanting a non UNSC map. the previous DLC maps havnt been the best. not complaining about free content (they play better then half of H4 launch maps). they just dont live up to the launch maps.

343 has impressed me so far in its connection with its community. ppl have forgotten how Bungie used to treat us. yes we dont have infection but something is better then nothing.

I think I may be one of the only people who actually like Torque. It’s the only map, in my opinion, that seems large enough to handle the speed of Halo 5. I’ve had nothing but great experiences on it. The other Arena maps are good, but are much smaller in scale, and can seem a bit cluttered at times.

Most maps can (and have) be remade in halo 5’s forge. There’s a reddit list of all of halos multiplayer maps and their remakes, and more than 3/4 of the list is filled up.
