In my opinion the thrusters from Halo 5 made every single gunfight unique and so much fun even years later each fight feels new and unique. I feel like Infinite feels almost boring now with every fight being the same and with heavy reliance on bait and switch to win afight against more than one player. Whereas in 5 you could rely more on your self to win against 2 or 3 people because of the thruster. IDK i just feel like it made for some amazingly fun kind of moments that im just not having in Infinite.
Yes. Hate not being able to avoid grenades. I feel so slow even with the faster base movement. Just missing something.
Agree. The thruster gave a unique experience to the gunfight that is missing. Feels like a slower less exciting game now
Halo was always about teamwork, and grenades are a big part of the original design that made Halo feel unique compared to other shooters in its moment-to-moment gameplay. You could do 1v3 in the original trilogy, especially in FFA Slayer, but you needed to change your mindset from non-Arena shooters to be more Arena-focused. Spawn control, map item control, positional awareness, situational awareness. Thrusters nerfed grenades and positional and situational awareness.
While the thruster was fun, it was a crutch for players who had bad positioning and was a get-out-of-jail free card for them.
Nope. Definitely not missing it.
I enjoyed Halo 5ās movement, but I kind-of like the compromise we have in Infinite, a blend between Halo 3 & 5, having thrusters as equipment puts more pressure on using it effectively as oppose to randomly.
