Remember how you could go back in and record clips in theater? Yeah, I miss that -Yoink-.
Really wish they would fix the laggy theater mode and give you the option to record clips again. It’s annoying for content creators trying to create a montage. The xbox DVR records your clips in 720p 30 FPS, which is unappealing considering the standard is 1080p 60FPS… Dear 343, please bring back the old theater system so I can record my clips with my capture card in 1080p 60 FPS, and fix the damn reticle lag in theater. Its 2016 (almost 2017), there’s no reason why I should be editing clips in 720P 30 FPS.
GIVE US THE OLD THEATER RECORDING OPTION SO WE CAN MAKE HALO MONTAGES/CONTENT GREAT AGAIN.
While I agree with you, I don’t see it happening. I think Microsoft wants to promote a single unified method for recording and sharing game clips and the developers are happy to let someone else worry about it.
As it stands, however, there’s no excuse for the limitations of the current DVR system. It should support long recording times and 1080p/60fps video.

I understand that but at least fix the d-sync issue in theater. The reticle lag in comparison to the live video is ridiculous. If that was fixed, people like myself could use theater mode to record gameplay.
I don’t understand how they can’t get it right like Bungie did in 2007 when theater mode was first introduced. I’m blaming “skill-gap”. Kappa
