I love what 343’s doing with the game as of late, but I wish they would introduce more armors with codpieces. The armors without any plating down there just feel so naked and exposed. The Mark VI Gen1, Mark IV, Mark V, Reach armors, all had codpieces and they looked GREAT.

I really don’t like them. They are way to bulky.

And I hate sleek armor with lot of gaps and a exposed lower abdomen. To me, a Spartan should be bulky.
They should introduce even more sets with proper waist armor and in Halo 6, they should have a codpiece option so i can wear any piece/set of armor with a codpiece.

Yeah, so many armor sets do look exposed without the armor plating down there. It’s probably one of the reasons why we don’t have black undersuits yet so less people will notice the reduced abdominal armor in the sea of power ranger colored undies.
Nothing can ever truly replace the classic space diaper.
Idk tbh I never really cared about them lol such an odd post

Some of us just don’t like the prevalence of things such as colored undersuits and armor with fairly minimal waist protection as aesthetic choices with no/few alternatives.
I saw someone edit in a codpiece on Raijin armour. It looked a lot better, really tied the armour together.

OMG, you’re right. They look so naked without them now.
Honestly, I don’t really understand the change. If a Spartan gets shot directly in their crotch with a needler, they’re practically dead, lol. Like TruncateComb6 said, the Spartans feel exposed without a large chunk of their armor missing. The “space diaper” is actually thick and can take a beating, unlike the padding the newer suits have.
You would think that one would want protection for a very vital area like that…
Never knew why they removed them in the first place but I definitely want them back.

I definitely miss the sound they made when tbagging.
I’ve… never even noticed lol.
It’s simple, 343, make crotchplate size directly correlate to skill rank, then profit. This is the only true way to combat smurf accounts…yeah they can still smurf, but not without suffering some crazy shrinkage.
No I like, getting shot in the yoink?
Simulation or not it still hurts!
I don’t particularly care, but if you ask me, from an in-universe standpoint, the removal of the armor there makes sense.
Just going to copy and paste my reasoning:
> -Plasma would melt straight through the armor plating
> -A kick to the groin from a Spartan or Sangheili would hurt with or without the codpiece
> -MJOLNIR armor already has integrated shields
> -The undersuit itself is armored in that region
>
> It’s really more practical to not have the thing there, as the lack of codpiece makes the armor lighter, cheaper to manufacture, and gives it more mobility.

A shame everything has a ‘lore’ reason these days.
Oh man, we could get the Lord of Admirals’ Codpiece as a Mythic armor addon.
