Anyone Else Miss Having Spartan Abilities?

Ok, so hear me out:
I’ve played EVERY Halo game except Halo Wars, Halo Wars 2 and Fireteam Raven. With this said, as of about 3 years ago I stopped playing EVERY halo except for Halo 5 Guardians - because i fell in love with Spartan abilities. in fact, if you look at my service record for Halo 5 the majority of ALL my kills are Melee regardless if it’s a spartan charge, ground pound, assassination, or just straight up winning a boxing match…
Having been part of the last beta test/flight, you know what the very first thing is that i noticed? I couldn’t do any of that!!!

I’m not really griping here just fyi dear reader, I’m just curious if I’m the only one who actually misses being able to hover in the air and ground pound an unaware opponent, or charging straight at them after breaking their shield with an assault rifle, or even watching my Spartan character grab someone by the shoulders, and stab them in the neck with a rather gnarly looking knife. II really loved the assassination animations above everything else really to be honest…

Anyone else already feeling a little ‘homesick’ in that particular regard yet?

I forget they ever existed, but that’s because I thought most of them dramatically ruined Halo.

Halo 5 was very satisfying with the thrust, but I didn’t like the Spartan charge or the ground pound.

Loadout style with all the random abilities on Reach and 4 I absolutely hated. These days I find them less offensive, but I barely play them so that’s probably why. Also it’s big team where I care far less about the competitive integrity.

Playing Infinite I definitely miss thrust but it is also nice to play a more classic feeling Halo game and I think the game is better for not having it. Just glad they have kept mantle in.

I mean, I guess. It does bring back the ‘classic’ halo feel to the controls, but after several years of playing Guardians I’ve REALLY become accustomed to my abilities lol.

I agree about the random abilities though - that was annoying enough that I stopped playing about a month after trying it out.

Not really, i’m really glad Equipment is back and the gameplay is a bit more simple without thrusts, ground pound, charge and all that stuff.

I really enjoy the more classic feeling of Halo infinite but in combination with sprinting, climbing and sliding. For me and lot of Halo fans this time, less is more
