I am liking the direction that the franchise is taking. What do you guys think? I felt the Legendary-ending was a bit lackluster, but it definitely got me excited for the next installment.
That ending was a Frankie-level tease.
I like(d) it. The Sort-of-Evil-Bonkers-Cortana - while she claims to have been healed of rampancy i doubt it, or at least she was put back together the wrong way - is kind of refreshing and nice, with Chief trying in some way to stop her, without having to fight her or making her his enemy (which ends up with Blue Team in the cryptum).
My new favourite character probably is Exuberant Witness, such an adorable Monitor she is

I would like to see more explanations to how the game is starting off, rather than hoping the viewer read the books/comics. I really enjoyed the game and can’t wait to see where to it leads next. Even after Halo 5, I’m totally okay with a game based on Team Osiris.
The lack of an apex of the story gives viewers an unease feeling. As it should, no on3 accomplished anything. Which to me makes the best ending, a story with no resolution. Great job at 343 to make players FEEL like they could’ve done more. Because it’s the first time the Master Chief is POWERLESS.
Great story. It beats traditional storytelling.
I actually liked the campaign.

Well they said that Halo 5 will be quite dark compared to previous Halos, as well as changing the Universe of Halo, with Cortana and - god only knows how many AIs - going rogue against their creators pretty much was accomplished.
I’m happy that Roland didn’t joind Cortana and allowed the Infinity to make a jump - which is another point i like and a sort of throwback to CE - with the Infinity making an emergency Jump and on the Run for now.
I absolutely loved it.

I am with you on that. Going with what you said about her not being put back together right. After seeing that scene after the credits (I won’t go into detail). I am starting to wonder if who we saw was actually Cortana. I could see them coming back in the next one with that Cortana being a Corrupted Copy.

I am particularly interested in this too. I wonder if he got the message, since Cortana couldn’t find Infinity at the point the other AIs joined her.

He knows whats going on thats for sure as he mentiones that Cortana and her AIs turn “everything” off, so it seems like Roland is loyal to Infinity.
Loved it!
I really enjoyed it. I’ve been a Halo fan since CE and never been more excited for where the franchise is headed.
Yep I REALLY enjoyed the campaign. Cant wait for halo 6!
put me down as another fan of it. really enjoyed the 2 different squads and it was nice to see John being a bit more “human” for a change. I think he has more lines in this game than he does in the rest of the series combined. was also great seeing the Arbiter again and I loved talking to the grunts in his base camp, i’m still holding out hope for a solo Arbiter game where there is at least one named Grunt on his squad that’s a playable character.
I’ve seen some complaints about the ending but I enjoyed that too, this is the Empire Strikes Back of the series so the bad guys have the upper hand and things aren’t looking so good for the gang. long story short i’m looking forward to 6 after this where after the borefest that was 4 I was kind of over the series as a whole.
It was short, and the lack of a true ending was disappointing, but I liked it.
Counting down the minutes till I can go home and play it some more - there’s your answer!
