I mean he’s not wrong tho, from as far as i can remember there is not a single project 343i could bring without messing up big time:
- Halo CE anniversary (one of the least faithful remaster i ever came to experience)
- Halo 4
- Halo TV series (2013)
- Halo MCC (one of the worst launch in gaming history)
- Halo 5
- Halo Wars 2 (multiplayer is still broken to this day)
- Halo Infinite
- Halo TV series (2022)
The list is pretty long, so it is understandable that a big part of the community is doubtful and full of negativity. It also does not help that some of the resources were taken away and spent on things that did not need to be fixed to begin with, such as the tank gun, overall melee damage reduction (including campaign) and slide glitch, meanwhile the most important issues such as Desynch and the Server Lag that prevent myself and others to enjoy the game is left unresolved

If MCC is anything to judge by, yes
Also remember: Fortnite released in 2014 and took 3+ years to build its momentum. Now look at it’s success and popularity (note I despise fortnite, but we can learn from its path to success with its audience)

You don’t need to work somewhere to understand an environment.
To answer your question, it wasn’t particularly pretty last I checked.
What are you even on about?
All I told you, was that you are gonna be disappointed and that having this game fixed up and up to the standards of everyone at the end of this year is really unrealistic.
Just tone your expectations a little more, 2 years or this year and a half at least.
I had that hope for six years while it was being developed. It’s gone now.

Since Infinite came out, I’ve had the same sentiment - in 4 years it may be good.
Look at MCC. Unplayable, terrible issues, now its near perfect.
343 just needs to actually get the development cycles in now. Easy to justify since whoever is playing the game has paid for it ahead of time.
I’ve got huge hope and excitement for what Halo Infinite is going to look like in the coming years. Sure, the seasons have been tough and challenging, but we’ve got so much potential in the future of this game. Just remember what some of the Halo games looked like at release. Have faith. If you don’t want to spend money, don’t. Enjoy the game for what it is and enjoy Halo as a whole.
It was six years… wasn’t it… ouch.
I firmly believe that in a few years this game will be in a state that not only equals but surpasses its most famous predecessors. The core gameplay is so good, I can easily see it being considered the best Halo game of all time once it reaches this state. The bigger question is if it will still have an audience by then…
I do. Anything can turn around. =)
I’m more so in the realistic lane, given the speed at which content has come in, how each update brings a horse of destructive bugs, how there is no mention of Firefight or some true PVE game mode. And how it has become a second nature for 343 to delay things I would say 2 years before the game is somewhat polished.
Now everyone seems to think forge is the saving grace. But indonexoect it to launch Barebones and with features missing such as being share your files for others to use. Yup possibility of no file share.
And than God only knows what will be broken.
I’m basing this on previous update results from 343. In reality I believe the games foundation code is so broken that Everytime they add something it breaks 4 other things. So to fix all this is going to take some serious time.
