That jetpack and camo may end up being the new evade and drop shield? By that I mean that we will only see them in certain game modes? I feel it’s a bit suspicious that they would be holding back showing us AA’s that we have already seen if they were going to be a part of the main slayer game types. Perhaps they just want people to play exclusively with the new ones for purposes of feedback and what not but who knows. I hope that jetpack is left out of the main slayer mode. Or the more “classic” one as it were. I want the maps to have a purpose other than serving as some scenery as you gracefully sore above it all.
Has anyone here had the chance to ask about these abilities?
You can customize your loadouts. How could they be limited when you can choose to have them at all times?
Also, I think the main reason we haven’t seen much of them yet is because they are still being tweaked and reworked.
When it came to AA tiers, in Halo Reach especially after TU they are tier 1, the more overpowered AAs. And now that AAs in general are severely nerfed, they need to think about how not to make these two even more OP in comparison to what we have now.
That is thread was going to be another page of malevolent, misinformed bulls**t?
Glad I was wrong…
Anyways, you make a good point OP. Personally, I think it’s a sales thing. Camo and Jetpack were not the most…welcome…things in Reach. I think 343i is either not going to show any official gameplays with camo and Jetpack (unlikely) or are gonna wait until MUCH closer to launch to revel them so people aren’t so…frightened… and maybe give it a chance.
If true, thank god. I absolutely hated the active camo armor ability in reach. Jetpack did ruin some measure of map control, but I think I can easily deal with jet-packers. I still wish 343i would go back to the having camo as a pick-up. Invisibility should not be something that you should be able to spawn with, period.

This. Now that Powerups are in, I’d like to see Camo as one of the Ordinance Drops.
Yes, Slain! Active camouflage should be much more effective than in Reach and in turn be an ordnance power-up instead of an AA you can start with. I think this would help bring it back to it’s more effective days of H1-H3 without having to make it so pitiful as it was in Reach which was necessary since you didn’t have to fight for it.
