Anyone Else Getting Slaughtered?

Obviously, I suck at halo multiplayer. That said, in Halo MCC, I at least had a chance to win a single match. In this game though, I feel like every match I am constantly getting slaughtered, have such a bad KTD ratio, and just never feel like my team even has a chance. Does anyone else have this?

Not quite stomped, but generally I’m a pretty strong Halo player and I’ve been having to play my best just to break even. Lot of the people I’ve been playing against are very, very good and some of them I recognise as Halo 5 Champions.

I imagine the most hardcore Halo fans are playing and a lot of the casual players may be trying bot arena instead. Don’t be discouraged I’m sure the games will be better at launch, especially the BTB flight next weekend. Get your feet wet in there, I’m sure it will be a blast.

My K/D is 1.4 in Halo 5, and 1.6 in MCC, and I just went 3-15 on the first match I’ve played this tech preview session. I’d seen people say it was sweaty, but I can’t even bring myself to play another match now.

Additionally, the perform on the Xbox One feels poor: very clunky and jittery. Odd, given that it played just fine in the first tech preview session. But sweaty players and poor perform makes it unplayable.

Thank you, man. I appreciate your support and encouraging me to not give up. I wish you luck on your gameplay as well.

I too am playing on the xbox one version. I don’t mind 30 fps, but I feel like it dips below at some points. I’m hoping there is an option to make it 60 fps at the cost of resolution, because i’ll gladly take that. If not possible, they need to at least optimize xbox one even more.

I initially thought 343 were stretching too far with putting the game onto the Xbox One to the Series X. After the first preview, I thought I was mistaken, but now, it seems as though it’s going to be Cyberpunk 2077-lite. Something needs to be done for the base Xbox One, if the insistence is still to put it on the console.

If you’re getting that kind of negative KD ratio, then you likely need to slow down a bit and stop rushing in. Hang back, pick your fights, and try not to get 2v1 by the other team. If you see two or more guys in front of you and you don’t have a rocket, pull back.

I know how to play Halo. My multiplayer service record shows that. The spawns were terrible, the performs was poor, and the players were far above my skill-level. I didn’t have an opportunity to rush anywhere.

What does sweaty mean?

Not sure what to tell you then, my service record is about the same as yours and I rarely go negative KD in Infinite. The TTK is much lower than Halo 5, so your Halo experience doesn’t directly carry over to Infinite.

I would hate to see what my infinite K/D is right now.

Players trying their best to win, whilst likely also being above your own skill-level. By trying their best to win, I mean Gandhi hopping, jump sliding, etc. Not cheating, of course, but I shouldn’t be against them. For the purpose of the tech preview, how am I meant to collect any data to report, in those circumstances? I’m not alive enough. For the purpose of having fun, I’m not, because I just die too quickly, and what’s the point of a game if it isn’t fun? I could go and do some studying otherwise.

Even in Battlefield 4, my KD is 1.8, which has an even lesser TTK. In Splitgate, my KD is 1.6, which again has a lesser TTK. Infinite just isn’t good, for me — at least this tech preview.

im playin on pc with a xbox controller. Its easy to play

What are you playing on? Friday and Saturday I played on a xbox one and I couldn’t go positive ever. I didn’t even touch a weapon that scopes. They were useless. So was the pistol. Even with the AR I couldn’t keep the reticle on a moving target. I didn’t have any fun at all. I don’t mind losing but when you feel lucky to have a 1:2 kd ratio that gets old.

Today I’m playing on a Series X. It’s literally just the opposite. I can scope people from across the plaza. I can kill AR people. 8 can kill with the pistol. I think I have only had 2 negative games all day. People are saying it’s the frame rate and maybe so. All I know is I’m having fun and my ratios from the last 2 days to today have literally reversed.

I’ve played on the Xbox One too, so I guess all I need is a Series X. Oh, wait…

If this is just the case for the One, then it’s still not acceptable. The game is releasing on it, so clearly needs some work to optimise it.

Its just you

I am playing on a base xbox one. I know it’s much better to play on a series x and s but not only is it sold out everywhere, I don’t have any money to afford a next gen console, nor do I have a powerful PC enough to run halo infinite. Therefore, my only option is to play the base xbox one which I don’t mind, but the performance still needs work.

A lot of pc players are complaining too. Can’t help but wonder if the game simply needs a certain amount of power.

It’s not just him. But thank you for posting on some thing you are clueless on.
