Just had a game where I scored 18 kills… then something happened. Next match it was like everything I did refused to work. Get behind someone and go to assassinate and then I just hit him. Did it twice in fact to the same guy.
I got 2 kills the entire match.
Next match… ONE KILL and no assists… so I left before I could be accused of idling due to the scoreboard showing I was so low.
It wasn’t as if I was lagging because nobody was rubberbanding. It was just that my bullets were not registering even when I got loads and loads of X’s showing when I shot. No assists and only one kill ffs. And again when I went to assassinate… THUD.
He wasn’t talking about quitting halo dummy. He meant that specific game/match.
I agree this happens to me all the time. I also find that if the other team has a strong host and they are all from the same area it can be awful as well.
E.g. you see someone and shoot them first, you perfect 5 shot them (with markers) and then you die? Funny thing easy I’m screaming “There is a one shot mid map” except when my team mate goes there to finish him the dudes not as one shot. I only landed 2/3 shots. Quit and move on, I’m happy they don’t punish you from staying in bad games.
Shortly after I originally posted the servers went down so obviously they were having some problems.
Oh and KORNleader… Perhaps that should by KORNYleader. I was just saying that it was some really weird glitch and not that I wanted to quit the game. It was bizarre that there was no apparent lag yet the bullet registration was almost non-existent.
In fact I went to play Spec Ops and when I completed the game it still said the server was down after every solo match so I just gave up and started work on doing Halo Anniversary on Legendary. God that is hard… the explosives in that game are so much more… explody lol. I keep thinking I am at safe distant (as I would be in 4) and then going KABOOOOOOOOM.
I do prefer Halo 4 though… Jackals are also easier to take down than in the original.
I find that this happens to me a lot as well. I played a match and had 35 kills and 5 deaths and then the next match I might as well been assaulting them with harsh words, because it just wasnt working.

Yeah… one match everything works. Combat behaves correctly, no lag or glitches and even if we lose it is all good because the enemy were just better than us.
The next match though… bullet registration fails even though the confirmation you are hitting comes up, You can hit the enemy with rockets (even direct hits) and they just run off.
I’ve said this before, I hit one guy with an Incinerator Cannon and the person I hit just ran off yet the ones miles away from the explosion point ended up dying from it.
Perhaps the scoreboard needs a network health column. I’m not saying a red coloured dot like in other games (I’m red/green colour blind so it’s hard to see) but how about something like a mobile phone signal strength. It would help with the decision to stay or go.
Or how about this… if a person has a very bad connection and is degrading the server the game could give us the option of booting them like the betrayal system. One person shouldn’t be able to ruin the game for others.
I’ve had this happen to me a few times as well. Don’t worry about the Banhammer for idling. It will only ban you if you stand still throughout several matches. There seem to be intermittent connectivity issues with the servers for Halo 4. I have no data whatsoever to back up this claim. It just seems to me that everyone tends to lag at times, even people that I know have a very fast connection and are host.
