It takes so much stick movement for any response and the all of a sudden it really flies. The response curve is really, really high. They need to add response curve options. I’ve played with Linear on every game for years and this was killing me.
Yeah, I found that annoying, felt all over the place.
Have you tried adjusting your sensitivity and aim acceleration?
I found that tuning those settings made aiming much much easier.
I didn’t have an issue, felt good.
Same bad feeling has H5. Can’t ever feel confident enough in mid-long range shooting. As in Halo 5, seems like there’s no consistency in microcorrection. Sometimes they work well, someitimes your crossair goes all over the place.
Before you ask, yes, I tried to tweak settings, as I tried for YEARS in H5. It just doesn’t feel right.
In every other game I play with controller if i see an enemy and I want to aim for it my thumbs seem to do the right thing. In halo 5 and Infinite they don’t.
Funny thing is my thumbs perfectly know what to do in Halo CE, 2, 3, ODST, Reach and Halo 4 too. Hell, even in the Halo 5 beta they did. Then something happened.

They added a new value and the default settings changed. Not sure what they did exactly, but the way aim works is different. It feels very wonky for me, but even then H5 was better than Hi.
It can be at times until you get the Sensitivity you feel comfortable in
