Anyone else feel disappointed with infinite?

Weapons are unrecognizable, bloom, sprint, lighting is sort of strange (everything just looks funny to me). Open world is cool, and grappling hook could be interesting given that it’s a pickup. Overall not stellar first impressions.

edit: I’ve seen a lot of people complaining about textures and cartoonish looking graphics. I completely agree. Halo 3 and reach still have better graphics than infinite which is built on a new engine and is powered by a console infinitely more powerful than the 360

edit 2: i can’t even take this game or the 343 games seriously because the graphics and atmosphere are so childish and cartoony. Again, compare the 343 games to reach in particular, reach was easy to immerse yourself in because the setting, enemies, military structure, and grittiness of the graphics made it believable. I can’t see myself taking hall infinite seriously

Have fun sprinting guys

I feel you bro just created myself a post …

Absolutely unimpressed by everything I saw. The game looks cartoonish, the animations look bad, the alien designs AGAIN feel pushed toward genericism and farther away from the iconic designs of the Bungie era. That stupid gimmick with the grappling hook and sprint is back for some dumb reason despite EVERYONE hating it, and 343i just continues to force Halo to chase Call of Duty despite being ten years behind and no chance of ever catching up.

And once again Atriox is NOWHERE to be found. Guess they can’t afford to hire Joe DiMaggio to voice him anymore.

Over this is just continuing proof that 343i has NO idea what they’re doing and never should have been trusted with the Halo franchise. I would have rather Halo DIED than have to live through the three terrible games they’ve put out and watch as Halo’s reputation and legacy just become more and more tarnished.

Honestly it looks weird to me too. I dont like it. The aesthetics are just weird. It feels like a cartoon unlike the trailers we saw. Quite honestly i dont like the open world. They went too far from the looks of it.

I am disappointed by the first look.
I am sorry but I cant buy this. Its not completely over. I will wait sometime. Maybe things turn slightly favourable as more stuff is revealed.

Sad. (Halo mcc is all that exists) halo 5 and up dead for me now.

The biggest let down for me is the open world. Mark my words, the primary campaign will suffer as a result of this.

I told you guys…

The main brute looks untextured and not detailed. The facial ed expressions were nice, but the face wasnt textured

I’m just glad I’m numb to this sort of thing now. I had slight hope that they’d surprise me when the gameplay first started, but as soon as I saw sprint I was was pretty much just like “well this was expected” and went back to not caring. Looks like 343 will never learn how to make a real Halo game.

I feel dead inside.

Part of me is starting to agree with this. Have the franchise end with Bungie after Reach (prequel). At most maybe get MCC down the road like we did.

I am trying to be a believer here, but it’s getting harder. Especially after today. I woke up at 6am today like a kid on Christmas morning. I was really excited for this – gave them the benefit of the doubt regarding past mistakes, kept an open mind here, and wasn’t trying to be salty.

It lacked content. 5/10.

Sprint is fine, graphics looked decent, grapple could be fun in campaign

what’s not fine: Weapon skins are boring, pistol looks bleak and sounds boring, vk79 commando looks like something out of CoD, no classic AR, no classic halo pistol, no BR, no DMR, no Snipers, no Carbine

I hope grapple is NOT in the Multiplayer

While I’m not super excited by what I’ve seen from Halo: Infinite, being all the more disappointed that they were coward enough to hide all of this from us for 4 plus years, but I think people need to stop hating on sprint. Sprinting adds something to the gameplay that, if done correctly, can add things to the gameplay.

Forcing players to choose between moving fast and shooting adds a bit of thought to the actual gameplay. You can’t just run around the map at top speed all the time. The argument against this is that sprinting makes the game too fast paced and the maps become too enlarged because of this. My counter to this is that if you look at the demo, the sprint doesn’t really increase your movement speed too much, but it is still sizable enough to add dimension to the gameplay.

Not even slightly. Not incredibly excited, but laughing at how many people are mad about it. It’s almost as though this was predictable.

I looks tiers backwards in development…
apparently the rumors are saying the budget for Halo Infinite is about $500 million, compared to Halo 5’s $60 million dollar budget.

i just want to leave this here…
a look at halo 5’s gameplay trailer…

Sprint may be fine in your mind but for a lot of others it’s not. I do agree with you on your other points

i am so fu**ing sad
after halo 5 i said to myself, come on give them another chance they will learn
but I guess that was a bust
it is sad to see the franchise disappear into insignificance… so many years for nothing

and a grappling hook?
really?

The Assault Rifle actually looks amazing and is an excellent cross of the Reach and Classic Assault Rifles. We have no idea if there isn’t a battle rifle, dmr, sniper, or carbine. I agree with everything else you said, barring the graphics. I think the graphics are largely disappointing.

I feel very very unsure about Infinite after today. Just didn’t look like halo to me. I just really don’t know how to feel

Worst part is they’re not talking about multiplayer what is and isnt in multiplayer
