Ive had some issues with the Halo 5 servers in the last few days, sometimes I can’t connect other times it drops me mid match. Internet has been fine, and other games work just fine. Even MCC is working.
Occasionalky it works when I restart the game, but still having issues.
Yes. Honestly they’ve been a joke since the game came out, but they’ve been downright pitiful these last few months. Today, it’s unplayable. It’s so bad… that I actually went out of my way to comment on this thread. And i NEVER do internet forums. THAT’S how bad it is.

I try not to complain (just kidding I complain a lot) but this is pretty bad. My internet speed is fine. I talked to my friends (real life friends) and asked them to test Halo 5 and it wouldn’t let them play either.
Halo 5 servers definitely leave more to be desired. Whether or not I’m on WiFi or Ethernet, I get disconnected commonly (maybe 1 in every 10 matches).
Halo 5 using that Starbucks internet.
They have just been bad since day one try playing from Australia some days it’s borderline unplayable and the stability the amount of times you have to hard quit because your stuck in the black loading screen happens way too often
The servers have never been perfect. Far from it. But over the course of this games life they have seemed to be going down hill. Ive played other games on dedicated servers and really liked them and had no real issues. H5 on the other hand always seems to have some sort of problem in the performance area. If this type of thing roles over to H6 then 343 will find themselves in some bad dog dooo dooo! And I’m not sure Halo can take to much more of this type of thing to survive.
I don’t experience disconnects but the lag has been absolutely terrible. It does seem to be getting worse.

I’m with you Matador! I never disconnect. I have only a hand full of times maybe. And even then I never receive a DNF. It shows nothing… like the game never existed. The first thing I notice is the aim and hit detection becomes very poor. And more severe type I start to see players lag a bit. That’s about all the further it goes with me. I think its time 343 starts doing some server maintenance. Shake the rugs out or something! lol. This type of thing can not be in H6… No way!
Try playing on a wired connection whenever possible and remove any metal obstructions from around your router to prevent signal interference. If that doesn’t work, contact your internet provider (ISP) or Xbox Customer Support @ 1-800-469-9269.
I heard the servers were down earlier as I couldn’t connect and a buddy messaged me saying they couldn’t connect either.

(Sarcasm) so, what you guys are saying is, even though they didn’t put splitscreen in Halo 5 to insure 60 fps gameplay, and other technical reasons, Halo 5’s servers are possibly the worse of any Halo? (More sarcasm) No way.

I don’t think they were the worst cause back when halo 5 came out it was the best I had ever experienced with a game. People were complaining about the servers and every change they made to improve them only made them worse for me.
I think the current population is more than likely the issue right now. I’m seeing very choppy frames lately. Some times it’s like it suddenly speeds up all of a sudden and slows down randomly.

It had been a while since I’d had lag but I was getting dropped from games maybe once every 15 matches. Sure that’s not horrible, but recently I’ve had lag and been getting dropped somewhat frequently.
What i most dread is getting disconnected than losing any REQ.

I keep calling in stuff like temple wraiths to get my commendations and then keep getting disconnected and losing that progress. Also hate it when I have boosts and lose them for good.

I had a juicy legendary I was using when the server burped and spit us out of the game. That was sad. The req system was offline earlier today. Not sure if it’s back up.

Hey I had the same issue.
The game is unplayable for me won’t load a game always get kicked before launching straight back to the playlist page, it’s so baddddd.
