Anyone else dropping the game for now?

Already dropped it a day ago. Not enough reward for playing. There’s no incentive and the team play isn’t there for objective playlists and Big team battle because of the horrible challenge systems.

everyone’s going for challenges, while I’m trying to actually win. I keep saying it’s imperative they add a leveling system outside of the BP. These decisions were bad and it’s going to hurt the game I think a lot more than ppl realize.

It’s lucky bf and cod failed so hard. So it might have the chance to redeem itself if it can implement something relatively quickly.

The game itself is amazing.

I’ve mostly put it back down in favor of MCC. I play Infinite a little with a couple friends if they happen to have the chance to play (that don’t play MCC). But my more regular playmates and I prefer MCC at this point for the following reasons:

-More choices in game types, and map elements (what guns/weapons are on the map, etc)
-More choices in team sizes/how many teams
-More map variety (There’s nothing like Lockout or Guardian in Infinite; ironically limited platformed verticality in Infinite despite such interesting movement. Also Forge maps in MCC)
-Custom Games Lobby
-I can “Be my own spartan”
-More rewarding progression system
-More interesting challenges
-Co-op pve to break up the pvp sometimes
-More efficient menu system
-More of my friend’s computers can handle MCC.
-Less aggressive monetization pushed into our faces.

Unfortunately I got tired of it after a couple of days. I’m hopeful that I can come back to it if it gets improved, because there is a good game in there somewhere.
My issues being: Assault Rifle has taken over, no social BR/precision modes, barely any aim assist except on AR, no option to switch crossplay off, crossplay balancing is not great, almost no customisation for free players/players who pay 60$ for campaign, overpriced content, no colour customisation, outline system is confusing and damages the immersion. I would have mentioned the progression system but unless you pay more and more there is no reason to progress anyway.

I feel it’s equally our responsibility to get this game in the right track, you quit now you contribute nothing to development. Remember this is a Beta, it’s 343 saying “Do you like it?” And giving us an opportunity to express our concerns.

If you feel it’s not your cup of tea, that’s fine but give them a chance, This Halo will be fantastic with the right updates but they need us to test it for them, so by all means have a little break but if your serious about wanting this game to be good, keep up to date with there changes, keep expressing concerns.

I do have my own issues with the game (20 matches or 6 hours to level up without weekly challenges is insane), bit in some ways, I still can’t help but want to play more.

I may not be the best on the older games, but on Infinite, I seem to do alright as I average out a 1.0 KD ratio. If that doesn’t work out, I do alright on assists.

One of my main gripes is that at least two of the weekly challenges are all about eliminating specific vehicles, but the only way to kill these vehicles is using a power weapon or having a vehicle yourself. If you were to use a Warthog, you’d need at least a competent gunner and a good driver to keep enemies from locking on. And in the chaos of BTB, that doesn’t work out so well.

Big Wheely Bully, for example, requires you to kill three Choppers. So, yeah, imagine how fun that is.

They are mistaken then. Dx12 with bordless less fullscreen no different than full screen exclusive from a perf and latency view.

The only reason I’m “dropping” it, is because it’s literally unplayable for me outside maybe Bot Slayer. I end up rubber-banding all over the place, which makes navigating a nightmare and I end up dying either behind cover or from being dropped off the map. This even happens in Custom Games where it’s just me. (No, it’s not a problem with my internet, that’s good enough to play other Matchmaking games and has steady connection).

What I can play I moderately enjoy. Not everything, but I’ve given feedback on that. But until that gets fixed… I just can’t play it.

I really want to like this game. The core gameplay feels great and the maps are really good (nerfed sprint does wonders). However, it seems that for now, Halo Infinite has fallen victim to corporate greed again. The progression is purposefully handicapped to entice people to buy challenge swaps. It is especially jarring coming from MCC that got a boatload of content with no in game monetization.

Then you have the questionable design decisions. The “streamlined” HUD that is objectively worse at conveying information. No player collision, causing issues with gameplay. All 4v4 modes put in a single hopper. Challenges being tied to said playlists even though there’s no way to play them separately. Forced crossplay. No regional servers. Seasons lasting three months. Forge somehow taking SIX months to get added in the game and so on.

I’m still optimistic, but cautiously so.

Know what you mean. When the flight came out I thought this was refreshing and fun but after playing the beta I’m starting to notice the flaws but I’m more irritated by the greed due to the predatory premium pass. I’m sure I’ll play more when Infinite campaign comes out but unless they make major changes to the game I doubt this game will last long.

The thing is if I dislike the direction 343i are going with the game right now in the short term then I don’t see myself playing this in 3+ years if 343i keep showing lack of interest towards the fans. I like to think nearly every Halo game I’ve put in a ridiculous amount of time but this maybe the 2nd Halo game where I end up barely playing it. (Last game I dropped quickly was Halo 4 on the 360)

But in seriousness I think they need to drop the F2P model and let people who have redeemed the multiplayer keep it and make everything earnable in-game before the population drops too much or the game will probably fail.

I’m certainly not dropping the game. In fact, I’m probably going to play this more than Halo: The Master Chief Collection now. Halo: Infinite’s multiplayer is the most fun I have had in a long time.

So cyberpunk should have gotten a free pass huh?

I’m probably only going to boot it up twice a week at this rate. Once at reset, and once when I’m bored. Its fun to play, but its progression and playlist systems are such a maelstrom that it becomes frustrating to play after a few games. And that’s something coming from me, because I LOVE progressing levels and battlepasses.

Yes, me. No matter what settings, aiming feels weird/bad to me on controller. It’s frustrating to play because of it.

Also I don’t like being killed while clearly being behind a corner. Or killing others where they’re not even visible.

No not me. I want the XP fixed, but the aiming I resolved by putting Look Accelratuin up to 5. And sensitivity up to 10. I to was feeling it was off. But changing these things that I saw through a YouTube video, has made it feel like it was on previous Halos. And my KDA has improved by nearly 7.0.

The actual gameplay itself is the best MP I’ve played in years.

Just need the XP sorted.

I believe, like other MP games, the battle pass should have built-in currency rewards. This allows the player (customer) to purchase the battle pass once, then have the ability to potentially earn the credits to obtain the next one. This is not guaranteed and for me has not always meant I completed the pass. If this existed I already would have purchased the pass.

Not permanently, but until the weekly challenges reset. There are still a lot of outlandish, annoying challenges that are unrealistic and they’re stuck in the three active slots. I won’t make a fool of myself playing matches for 50 XP regardless of their length. I’ll be back for more next week, though.

I’ll keep playing until they add c-op into campaign.

Only gripes I have right now are variety and the progression/cosmetic system. The aiming felt a little funky to begin with but I’m used to it now and it’s stopped being an issue lol

Mess with your settings. The default settings makes the aimer seem tricky.

I will leave it until it is fixed because the game is completely out of balance right now. so I just got all the achievements to never play again because right now the game is at a very frustrating point. Above all the aim and the radar is the worst thing in the game, I feel that the game is escaping my hands and I am totally unprotected against a badly configured multiplayer.
