I’m in the same boat!
Didn’t want to spend $10 on the battle pass because I would hate to support that kind of thing, particularly with how clearly greedy and over the top 343s mtx are in this game.
Would love to revisit halo MP if there was a realistic canon based mode but that would require playable elites.
Tonight was my last time ever playing halo infinite until at least they fixed the controller aiming issues. After playing halo for nearly 20 years I shouldn’t be coming into the newest came sucking a ball sack because I can’t aim worth a crap. The controls and halo have always been the best in the business except until infinite. My kill death ratio has averaged about 1.6 forever and now I’m less than 1.0. I don’t know what they did but you just cannot same you cannot shoot it spray and pray. Screw that.
You do know you can play every aspect of Infinite’s MP without spending a dime right? If you aren’t liking the game at all then by all means bounce, but if your only issue is the pass then simply don’t buy in and keep on playing, you won’t lose access to any gameplay content or modes.

I am dropping the game until I have the option to turn (completely) down the kill confirmation “juice” sound in the settings menu. I can’t stand it because it goes off so frequently. Get a head shot, Beep, play objective, Beep, get a multi-kill, Beep. Why won’t it stop 
?
I’ll only play with my friends for now on PvE modes. I won’t touch the multiplayer till they fix major issues. Honestly I feel like I won’t heavily touch this game till a year or so later like I did with Halo MCC. They have so…so much to fix. The aim especially.
I stop playing because of these weird aim controls/mechanics that they didnt fix. BTB Tech preview felt better than the actual beta version.
apparently 250ms is acceptable for matchmaking. as such i have stopped playing. thanks for killing my region 343.
Although the high latency makes some games very frustrating I don’t see myself going back to the previous games.
I’m really enjoying the sandbox, maps and game modes and if I don’t take things to seriously it’s awesome to experiment and find those halo moments.
That said I do have quite the expectations for December 8th concerning playlists, region selection and custom game options to be able to enjoy the game durable.

Nope loving it so far. Playing it as much as I can atm.
All I want is for the right stick aiming to feel like the old halo games. I played cod today for the first time in ages and the aiming feels so much better than infinite. Halo is my favorite shooter of all time, but I cant play for long periods because it feels like I’m fighting the controls at the moment. Until the they fix the aiming I dont think ill be playing very much more unless a big update comes out.
Imma keep playing for now, to get a real good feel for the game because the aiming just feels different to me. Once I got that down and I’ve had my fill of the limited content I’ll be gone. With how empty the game is in both content and features I honestly won’t have a reason to come back once the game launches. Outside of Campaign I suppose. But even then me and my cousins have always played the new Halo together but 343i pooped on that tradition so maybe not. An age old time since CE has been taken away for a battle pass lol.
Absolutely not. I have issues with the lack of game modes however I have 1000 more hours until I absolutely need more content before I consider taking a break. I waiting for 14 years for this and I can over look the issues because it’s the gameplay I always wanted.
Had to check if OP wasn’t me on a different account name that I forgot about because 50% of the time I completely agree with all these points and would write about them in the exact same way…
The other 50% of the time I’m having a blast. So this game is driving me nuts. I really like it at times and want to always like it… But so many little things feel off. It’s actually pretty amazing how Infinite can absolutely feel like a truly classic Halo but play completely different to the point where I just don’t know if I like it or not.
Stuff like how melee feels off. The stupid vehicle blow up timer crap. Just cut away the bs and go back to the core. Because the core of Infinite certainly works.
The whole deal here is this game is top knotch and people who can afford it are running everyone else over with 500fps. I have a i7 6700 and 1050ti and can barely pull 40fps. ingame. if thats not knocking me out to the point to where im banned. im not getting any good kills vs these 12th gen windows 11 pcs that apparently people have already invested in. lol.

I’ve already dropped the game. Unless a friend invites me to play it I’ll be playing Warframe, or Battlefront 2. The only reason I haven’t uninstalled it yet is, because this is a “beta”, so I’m holding out for massive changes to monetization on Dec 8. I see no reason to grind for quite literally nothing.
I hate the fact it takes so long for the game to set up once it has found the players. May as well go make your pot roast. I hate the fact that half the time I am trying to see whether the player I am shooting at is on the other team or not. I want my colours back!! It feels less of a game of skill and more of a shoot in the general direction and hope you get one. I am not the best of Halo players and yet even I can do extremely well at the game. The aiming is dire, games too slow and maps too big. The graphics are weird, almost like the contrast is too high, on both Xbox and PC. Constant crashing and losing connection to the server and then having to go through the waiting game again.
On the good side… this is a beta version. It is good that we are all starting from scratch so that we can all get to grips with it at the same time.
I would rather play Reach than this. This doesn’t feel like Halo any more. It seems to have lost it’s way by trying to be too clever. Reach was the pinnacle as far as game play goes, for the most part for me. This just feels like a trashier version of 5.
Hopefully 343 will get some feedback and do something to change some of the things I have pointed out. I am trying to like the game for what it is without comparing to previous versions of Halo. I hate HD everything. I think it looks crappy and fake. I wish they would enable users to revert to a standard non-HD graphics, especially as I have epilepsy and it seems to affect it a bit, as does HD TV.
Would I pay for the game. No! Would I if 343 were to change some of the things mentioned… they would have to change the HD thing, the colours… well basically, too much. Sorry 343. I hope to see Halo again when you bring out the next version or if you resolve the issues I have mentioned. Until then goodbye from me.
I know. 343 has said alot over the years. Doesn’t mean it will hold up. They are already playing with the progression systems in place, pushing back forge and CoOp, stats can change too. Everything is subject to change.
