Not impossible, really. It’s kind of sad they don’t have basic modes from previous Halos: slayer, objective, multi team, ffa. All to directly choose from in menus. Personally, sometimes I’m in the mood only for one of those at a time, and it’s not impossible to please me. Just put it in. Lol.
I expect they will, but the fact that they didn’t at the start, and I am asking for it, doesn’t make me unreasonable. And also, it doesn’t really make sense, because those are basic Halo options from previous games.
I think what you mean to say is Halo players will always have a critique or preference to voice, but let’s be real, that’s just a human thing.
in dropping the game because I am forced into 250ms games all day. and if I leave them I get banned. it’s the fastest way to kill a region, is to force players into unplayable matches
It’s fine to drop it for now, the Season Pass doesn’t expire after all, so that’s great.
You may wanna check in weekly after the Visor is given to us and keep track of Challenge Cosmetics cos who knows, the good stuff may be locked behind the weekly grind.
Play in moderation I say. It’s also fine to go back to MCC too. Get those 20th anniversary unlocks.
If you’re not enjoying it, then you should drop it, but given that its technically a beta I’d say at least come back around at retail launch and see if they’ve improved upon your issues with it.
In my experience most of the issues (where actual gameplay is concerned) are regarding tuning and rebalancing, not major technical or mechanical issues, which means with enough feedback they are things that will potentially be addressed by retail launch or in future updates.
Every Halo game since the 2nd title has gone through this. People love it. People hate it. People say it’s not Halo. People say it’s more Halo than the previous Halo. If you need a breath take a breath, at least this time the buy-in was technically nothing.
Nah. The progression system sucks, but my friends and I are having a blast. It’s disappointing that we don’t have forge to play around with, but overall the core experience is great. Some of the weapons need a little tuning here or there, but I like it.
Got my rank recently after playing the unranked matches. A Platinum 6. And honestly? It felt stressful getting it. So I like Infinite but it is by no means the best Halo. Better than 4 and 5 sure but things like Aim Assist, and a bunch of other fundamentals that aren’t there or lacking leaves alot to be desired.
I’ll miss him, and he’s not wrong. The core of the game is great, but there’s still plenty of work to be done, and currently the challenge system makes playing feel extremely un-rewarding, especially after paying money for the battlepass. I’m not going to burn myself out and sabotage my mental health by chasing these atrocious challenges.
Look at the steam charts, the playercount is already down 20%. Looking at the graph, there won’t even be more players tonight (Friday) than there was on week nights. The numbers are very grim, and you’re definitely not the only one dropping the game.
If you feel like playing another halo games then you should because they are master pieces It’s never good to feel burned out playing the same game and not enjoying it. I personally haven’t played MCC or halo 5 since the drop of the beta. I definitely don’t play all day either which helps keep the game fresh. Like you said there’s not that many modes so playing them over and over can be to much at times.
As for “sweaty players” I guess you have me to blame because I play to win, and I mostly play social and not ranked. I do like that ranked has the Battle Rifle as a starter weapon though
