I’m starting to hate this game. Aiming feels awful, weapon and vehicle balance is horrendous, BTB’s vehicle and weapon drop systems are terrible and unbalanced, random weapon spawns lead to tons of unbalanced situations, there are still ridiculous challenges, every game is sweaty because of the ridiculously massive skill gap, playlist selection is terrible and I’m sick of playing the same modes over and over and rarely getting the modes I want. My honeymoon period is over, I’d rather play literally any other Halo game.

Honestly I think variety is the main killer for me, despite everything else I gripe about. I do feel an urge to want to play, but then I play it for a bit and go “oh yeah, its the same as last time”.
We need more maps and modes. Game feels very minimal, like a beta that’d release a year before launch, not a few weeks before and toted in blogs as having all launch content.

I am taking the time to learn the game, not so worried about stats and stuff yet. It’s entirely possible all this stuff all gets wiped on the 8th. I am still tweaking my control and visual settings to see what feels best.

I don’t know which stuff you think might be wiped, but that’s a scary word to use when people have been spending money with the promise of no wiping by the devs in any regard.
Maybe you mean game features and balancing issues that have nothing to do with stats or unlocks?

Yes. Stats, medals, games played, time played, Ranks. All that stuff can be wiped on the 8th. They can add a Beta* place it under a tab here, and start everyone from zero on the 8th with a whole new ranking system in place. They allow everyone to keep the BP progress and unlocks and say they met that promise. Game ranks and stats change all the time.

Not likely. All the problems people here claim to be game breaking are minor annoyances to me. The gameplay is enough to keep me playing while all the peripheral stuff gets tweaked and balanced over time.

Love the game but yeah in BTB vehicle drops are a mess and vehicles (especially wasp) are OP, especially as there aren’t enough power weapons to deal with them, and the base weapons are now totally underpowered. Matches thus get very unbalanced if one team gets vehicles.
On the plus side they could fix it, but then they had plenty of chance to correct the issues after the flights. They have a small window to correct it now but after that I think many people will move on.
Its a pity to say it but Halo 5 warzon handled vehicles much better.

It will be in the ToS, if it isn’t already, which it is. Doesn’t matter what that states. They are covered by the ToS. You own the right to use 343’s property how they see fit, and they can change it at any time.
If they keep the stats great, if they don’t, hey thats great too. My point is that all this can change at a moments notice so no reason for me to get too invested in it.

Yeah, I already dropped it. I’ll give it another go if they ever fix what’s making the right analog stick feel like garbage.

Wouldn’t you prefer a company that can speak in plain English to their customers instead of repeating “player first” like it’s some kind of spell to cast to protect themselves from any criticism?
They said stats will carry-over, if they wipe them, plenty of people will be justifiably upset, and you’ll be on the terms of service hill ready to defend it. I would suggest reconsidering.

I’ll stick around with a couple matches a day, maybe bots for fun. But right now the progression is just killing my longterm fun in the game. Most of my group who played the game are feeling fed up too, and the other half are waiting to see that the game will be like on the 8th. One of my friends buys every new game and tried them, but isn’t touching a free Halo because of the quality of life issues. 343 has some fixing to do. The base game is really fun I must say, the combat is fantastic and the guns feel really good… well, the loafout weapons. The new power weapons are… aight, but the weapons they replaced were better.

I had Zune, and MS music. I have lost digital assets that cost me lots of real money a long time ago, got angry, and figured out how to get over it.
Doesn’t mean I fully agree with it. I have a big problem with it, I call out 343 for bad marketing all the time. I just understand what I am fully getting myself into.

If they wipe stats, then they are testing how much they can get away with empty promises and pointing at the ToS for technicalities in their promises. If they do that, then I am definitely not buying the campaign because I don’t support soulless corporations who don’t give a damn about me.
They definitely should be careful what they promise compared to what they deliver, because people are already on edge like this thread, talking about leaving. If they aren’t living by their word, then what is the value of their word in the future? I assume that’s important to you, right?
So if they break promises, then why should I even bother supporting them when they promise to make up for it?

Personally I think the game feels great, as far as latency, aiming, weapons and vehicles.
I’ve heard of some people having input lag because the game runs in borderless windowed and not true fullscreen, but maybe my machine is just bridging that gap well, I have no idea. Feels crispy for me though.
I just think they DESPARETELY need to fix XP gain (more xp for wins, more xp for longer matches, maybe correlate medals/score to some xp gain), double the amount of maps, and let us queue for specific modes as well as bring solo/lone wolves back.
Everything else seems on the right track imo.

Nope, just you. I haven’t had this much fun in a very long time. Map rotation isn’t great and progression isn’t either but I’m not letting it run my enjoyment, halo fans are literally impossible to please.
