The game will display hitmarkers for my shots, yet I will finish the mag and the enemy will either still be shielded or alive. This is especially noticeable with the sidekick pistol as I will land every shot which should net me a perfect, yet the enemy player will survive with intact shields. I have completely stopped using the Commando as it will show 15-17 shots in a mag hit the player yet they will still be alive. Melees also aren’t registering as I will lunge in, the game will make the sound, and nothing will happen.
At least 10 times now I have thrown a grenade through a doorway only for it to bounce off of nothing back at me. Another issue I have with grenades is they will land right near an enemy player, I will get the hit marker, but they will seemingly be unharmed by it and still require a full mag to kill.
The motion-sensor has also been pretty inaccurate for me to the point where I’ve stopped using it. Enemies will be well within 18m and won’t show up at all on the radar.
This is really leading to a frustrating experience, especially when I didn’t have these issues(aside from the motion sensor) in either test flight.
I’ve experienced all of these issues. I’m playing on PC. In addition to them, there is a lot of input delay, which makes movement and especially aiming feel terrible.
Yes and serious balancing, collision, and ttk issues. Vehicles feel weak and like they rip apart like a piece of paper,Unlike in previous halo games where it’s gradual damage. So far it feels like they didn’t even listen to the feedback from the technical test betas. Oh and weapons feel unbalanced. The majority feel almost useless. And why can’t I push people or jump on their heads anymore @343industries
Yeh does seem like hit registration is broken. I’ve had shots at the head take less damage than opposing opponents that fire less shots just to get killed but mostly noticed this more on console more than PC.
The hit registration is atrocious, I thought it was due to my connection but after talking to a few players they’d have the same issues. The melee registration pisses me off the most I go to hit someone at the same time but it’s like my hit never happens even though I hear the hit connect. Every now and then I see the registration work like it’s suppose to but it only lasts for like 30 seconds until it stops working . I want to see this game succeed but there are a few things like this that keep it from shining. Seeing hit markers appear a second after I shoots it just atrocious.

It feels, inconsistent. I empty a clip into an enemy, they shoot me a little, we trade melee, both hits register and I’m sent flying with them still having shields and on their merry way.
Melee also feels off, especially with no collision present. I’ve had one or two instances where I’d clip through an enemy when going for a back smack, and they’d back smack me.
In general, while I do manage to get the occasional kill, at times it really feels like I’m putting way more connected damage into enemies than I receive, and I still die first.
Most definitely, I feel it drastically in crossplay ranked. I 2 blast someone then connect a melee, guy turns around 1 shot and melee kills me. I’ve had similar occurrences about 8 times today.
In BTB with the BR, shots connected but didn’t damage shields, and unshielded enemies were unaffected by headshots.
Pulse rifle did nothing and the needler didn’t explode targets.
In QP, banshee bombs lit up enemies but nothing else, a warthog bumped a little from one, then it seemingly one shotted me with one rocket, and drove of with no scratches.
In the role reversal, me being in the rocket hog turret, I blast a banshee with no less than five rockets head on and it just turns around and stares at me, shots one bomb which sends the hood flying, and then entire thing goes angry red.
The Mangler didn’t register headshots either.
Going to chalk this up on high latency by connecting to servers too far away. That’s most likely the reason for, at times, poor hit registration.
Yea i think its why others can just spray and pray me to death with the sidekick in 0.5 seconds while my crosshair is a useless UI element that doessnt shoot where i aim 30% of the time.
So far, for me, hit detection has been pretty okay. Hit feedback has been really bugging me though. The BR only gives 1 hitmarker per burst, even if all 3 bullets hit. This happens when you full-auto spray the AR as well. Super annoying.
sometimes i cant even tell im being shot if its from the side ext, the ui isn’t clear enough in the heat of battle. and yeh hit detection feels off at times and perfect other times, and melee dont get me started. The lunge is like RNG. its horrible how sometimes you just hit the air and while ur doing that ur getting shot then killed even if u had the jump on the fight.
YES, theres been Many times where the FIRST shot i fire from my sidekick misses my crosshair. Bloom isnt present on your FIRST SHOT.
Its also probably why melee fights feel like absolute RNG. Sometimes people just 1 hit melee me from full shields. Atleast 50% of the time i have more Shields/HP than the enemy but they get the kill and i dont? Not even a trade.
And then theres getting killed like 4 metres after you turn a corner, My corpse will literally be 2 spartan lengths behind the corner and im like 0.0
Meanwhile if i shoot someone turning a corner the headshot misses and they escape into Narnia with their life.
I track the ping, this happens on servers where i have 10-11 ping. “Not Lagging” supposedly.
Basically the netcode actually might be worse than CoDs right now.
