I feel more confident when producing AA that I’ll be able to mount a proper defense/attack—especially when coupled with Forge.
Used a few Cyclops units last night, and was pleased with their performance also.

I hear alot of people are displeased with the update, I’m sure you’ll get some comments talking about their problems with it.
But that’s not to say their problems aren’t legitimate

I think most players playing at a competive level were disappointed that some of the biggest issues weren’t dealt with.
Granted, there was a lot of good fixes with the update, but it was just underwhelming for how long we had to wait.

He’s in a better spot than before, but still requires some more work.
I wouldn’t say he’s OP, no, just has issues.
I like what they’ve done to make Hogs not as appealing, but unfortunately they buffed the strongest leader in the game. Seriously, they buff the one that already had no weaknesses. I’d like to hear their justification.
Nothing for Johnson. Nothing for Kinsano. But Forge? Grizzly buff. Why?
Pavium’s turtle is still unbreakable. They nerfed cooldowns as if that was the only problem. Rain of Fire still has a giant radius, and Ultra Mines still wipes pops. Until that is changed, there will be instances in which he can turtle until the fat lady dies of cardiac arrest. Meanwhile, Phantoms and CoR weren’t even touched. These were priority number 1 changes. I’d say an Arby and Forge nerf was more important than fixing the Colony wall.
The game was unbalanced before, and even more unbalanced now. This is all without mentioning the AA buff. I don’t think that there’s anything left to say. A day or so before the game came out, I laid out what would make this game successful:
They failed 2 out of the 3. With the state this game is in, players are refusing to play. And you can’t blame them.
Glad the hog meta has whittled down.
Glad T1 is more of a factor now, rather than just quick techs.
-would still want to see jackrabbits get a small amount of love
-would still want to see UNSC turrets reduced a bit
Glad wraiths are more useful.
Not sure why the buffs to Grizzlies or to AA.
I’m actually really happy with the changes, Forge still needs work and air needs to not be worthless, but overall I’m happy

They’re powerful. But they’re slow and expensive. If If I learn that my opponents are building them, I’ll put Kodiaks at my base and go AV turrets. If I can repel their attack, I’ll send hogs and Kodiaks to their base

Heavy metal grizzlies with a forge hog do not die to anything period. grizzlies by themselves aren’t terrible but could use a little more weakness to AV units. The forge hog defensive aura is too much though. On top of that, Core Air neither counters core or heavy vehicle so you are forced to play the ground game.
I was actually surprised with how much life the last patch breathed into T1 again. I think the game is much more dyanamic as long as you aren’t playing against arby or forge. The AV buff for Hunters was exactly what they needed DPS wise. I really wish they could add +1 to their speed value (idea stolen from metalloid)
I think the hunter captain should be as fast as the hunters so he can be used in army comps more. He is just so hard to micro against fast units. especially Fast leaders like Jerome.
The air issue has been beaten to death.
I want scouts to do a bit more to rush units
I am happy, but I know I can be happier.

Had that issue yesterday. Was forced to turtle cause he kept dropping grizzlies with pelican and using Heavy metal. I was playing cutter and even with my army beeing stacked with veterancy and all drops ready i couldnt kill, only took out one base 2/3 times in 2 hours, his turrets and kodiaks where killing me. Switch to air made me loose 2 bases and almost lost the game. Ended up winning after 2 hours of turtle because he quit.

People are unhappy with the update only because Air now has a fair counter for humans. Decimus is still an issue because of his Siphon ability is way too strong even after a slight nerf but pass that I wish AA got a 2% damage buff and range increase. But the game is back to being more balanced. Air had it time for way to long and now the easy win is over so they are crying cause they have to think.

If you think Air is in a good spot right now you are ignorant. It was already so weak to any well composed army and was only effective at punished bases out of place armies.

Air was never good and never had a time, lol.
EDIT: we want to be able to build air. In competive games, no one builds air because we all know it’s god awful, and has been for quite some time. This is nothing to do with players want a “easy win”, we want air to do it’s job, which it doesn’t do.

Breezy air is not worthless you just need to learn to mix units more. Cyclops, marines, leader powers, hero’s and tanks will take out every AA without trouble. And that doesn’t count for many that you need. The dev’s push for a wolverine buff because 1. they never have gotten a proper one, yet again prove me wrong on that. 2. It, not just about 1v1, there are other game modes that need to be balanced and it has to affect the whole game in general. Jackrabbits need some love against anti-infantry like choppers and ghost got. As well as it good the supply the only meta went down because using energy outside of anything to upgrade was a punishment. Meaning cyclops, wolverines, and reavers = waste of time/worthless. Hogs/Air best to use around which both have way more speed outside of any unit in the game. I’ve played since old HW and day one of this, I have only had so much fun playing a match twice because its balance and a counter unit can do it job properly now. Which is the whole point of a triangle counter game is it not? On top of that Wolverines didn’t even get a damage buff one bit so you can’t cry foul at all since I know you won’t prove outside the videos other people made that they had an update to help them like reavers. Cause until now they have had not one patch for them.

I’m not saying air is in a good spot right now, nothing should be in a good spot. It being in a good spot means it is gonna easily be able to take advantage of other units it should not be able too.

Sgt Palooggoo knows what I’m talking about. It like Pokemon water>fire>grass>water etc. Break that and the game is not fun anymore.
