I didn’t find it very helpful in keeping me more interested in the game because whats the point of having a 50 if you can only view it on way point. Also I feel like the game isn’t very built for competitive play like I was hoping for. An example of this is the MLG pro circuit won’t even do Halo 4 anymore at competitions because its just not built for it. I have been playing Halo since the Halo CE and I just feel like I can’t get into Halo 4 anymore to boring. Does anyone else agree with me or is it just me?
I have the same amount of fun with it that I had with previous Halo ranking systems because I don’t find it overly important that its displayed in game as opposed to Halo’s official website. What is most important to me was that there was a skill based ranking system that I can see, track, and compare to friends/other players.
Edit: Also MLG didn’t pick up Halo 4 because Microsoft wouldn’t give them money, it wasn’t because Halo 4 isn’t competitively viable. AGL tournaments have proven Halo 4 can be competitive. Plus MLG runs CoD so I don’t want to hear that.
I never bothered looking at mine, and I don’t think I will in the future. I just don’t care.
Can’t really be bored of something I do not use.
Unless there is a CSR for forging… Nevermind. Still wouldn’t care.
Anyhow, this game wasn’t really built for the competitive mind-set, but rather caters more to grinders and casual players. Adding in CSR was just done to hopefully appease those who were looking/asking for the Halo 3 1-50 in their Halo 4 and those who like to compare stats to others (by giving everyone another stat). As far as only being able to view it on Waypoint, my guess is that those who actually care about it will look it up, and those who don’t care for it won’t bother to do so.
But as far as getting bored of Halo 4, I too get tired of it here and there (almost no friends who play it, no sense of achievement through winning, radda radda radda), so I just go to another game here and there, then I go back to H4 for a time and begin the process anew. Halo 4 definitely seems to me that it is made to be taken in small doses rather than large doses the older Halo games influenced, or else side effects of boredom start to show.
I play for fun and fun experiences so I haven’t really bothered with CSR nor am I getting bored with the game.

How would it be any different, at all, if it were in game? Halo isnt the problem if all it takes for you to enjoy a game enough to play it every day is to have the number 35 sitting next to your name for a few seconds in a lobby. MLG didnt drop Halo 4 because a CSR wasnt sitting next to their gamertags. what?
Couldn’t care less. Doesn’t affect my play style at all.
