I think Halo reach & Halo 4 are just like that awkward few years in a band’s career where they put out a couple albums that weren’t great before coming back to proper form. Those films in a franchise like James Bond that have their charms & do a few things right but aren’t good Bond films.
Halo 5 looks like it’s going to have the right things in common with Halo 2 & 3 as well as be different in the right ways. The fact that everybody has the same abilities means that it’s all about how well you can master those abilities & use them together which I really think is gonna make the game very competitive. The game looks to have a complex set of controls that isn’t exactly noob friendly.
I especially like that they are making it so you can choose how different mechanics work with the controller, like either hold or toggle to sprint, and hold or tap for clamber, etc.
Anybody else feel like this game is gonna be great?
I feel pretty confident Halo 5 will do well. We haven’t even seen much from the gameplay videos so I know they’re definitely going to be giving us something to look forward to after the beta. I’m just curious to see how the covenant weapons will be.
I thought Halo 4 was the return of Halo. I truly enjoyed that game and it had a lot of necessary improvements including join in progress and sprint. Truly love Halo 4 and still play it on a regular basis on the 360. Sometimes on TMCC when it is working.
On a side note I think H5 will indeed, do very well especially since they are having a beta. Which they did not have for H4 or TMCC.

JIP is an absolute must. Period. So sick of team mates leaving in H1, H2, H3, and Reach. I enjoy the sprint but if others don’t that’s fine. But JIP must stay in the series.

I don’t like joining in a game were my team is guaranteed to lose because its already 20-2, half the jip games people left for a reason (either their team sucks, trolling is going on, or they just left from rage, just leaving or disconnecting) No jip please
^Then the great thing is, you have the opportunity to leave. That’s where JIP is wonderful again. lol
Get used to JIP it is always going to be there because it needs to be there. No amount of arguing or disputing will change that. So I guess we can agree to disagree.

From what I have seen no, even Reach feels more like Halo so far, I wasn’t exactly about that either.
The solution to join in progress is simple. Disallow it if there is less than half the time remaining on the clock/to score limit.

You have no evidence that it is going to be there. Stop trying to prove something when you clearly do not have the source to prove your claim. Adding in JIP just because “it needs to be there” is not a valid argument. Wait until the beta to see who is right and who is wrong. Do not just speculate on something that 343i has not said a WORD about.

H4 was supposed to be the return but it dug the franchise deeper into the hole.
H5 looks like it has what it takes to be the big return. It has the potencial to do it and i hope it does.

The keyword is hope, Halo 5 does have potential, but I just hope it can live up to at least Halo 3 in terms of population.
I hope so. But this community is simply so bad that i have doubts.
