I’m the guy you hate lol. As soon as something that flies comes out, I grab a plasma pistol. i may not get the hijack, but I’m gonna bug the crap out of that banshee.
I agree, but the biggest argument for it is that it balance out vehicle combat, so I don’t think we would get through to people easily.
In that case you hate(d) me in H4 as well. Any map or in BTB I rolled with a plasma p always. I take great joy in slowing a vehicle and grenading it to dust. Nothing wrong with the PP.
You better hope I’m never in your game, or you will be EMP’d from a random black hole and suddenly your Phaeton Helios is my Phaeton Helios. I love Plasma Pistols when I’m using them, but I hate them when them dirty blues are using them on my shiny new Banshee Ultra
Use the Wheelman armor mod. EMPs don’t last near as long. Saved me countless times in Halo 4.
I knew how bad it was in Halo 4, but it didn’t stop me from spawning with one and throwing a Plasma Grenade
I don’t despise them… I use them all the time to enforce a no-fly zone for my team. Today, I was in my phaeton helios, and the enemy tried so hard to EMP me… I had the wheelman mod, so they never managed to hijack me (I stayed far away to snipe them with my beam)

I’m soooo happy they came out with the Wheelman Mod! That’s a game changer
not a plasma person myself, but I do enjoy the artistry of watching fools get sky and car jacked.
Plasma pistols are fantastic. And as much as they may nuisance you, your banshee nuisances me lol.
I don’t mind them until my teammates decide to plasma pistol my phaeton to try to get it
Plasma pistols server a valuable role. I don’t remember them locking on halfway across the map in previous Halos like they do in Halo 5. That’s the only part that seems off imo
They are actually broken. Any and every vehicle can be shut down with an auto tracking EMP from across map that cost the user 2 Req. Lol. It’s straight up broken.
There shouldn’t be vehicle tracking on that. Just line of site+ skill. Or the EMP effect is greatly reduced + ultra rare and up vehicles immume.

Precisely this. Honestly, the Wheelman armour mod does wonders if you’re a vehicle user. When I have it on in a Banshee or Phaeton, Plasma Pistols basically do nothing to me.
It’s just bizarre that basically level 1-2 reqs can take out Legendary vehicles with little to no worries. I mean yes, it takes a bit of skill but spawning in a plasma pistol to knock out my Mantis tank really makes no sense. If it was the Void’s Tear I’d understand, it has more ability, but a normal plasma pistol should take at least TWO shots before disabling a vehicle.
