Im constantly charging it up like Im gonna fire but release the trigger before it does. That way Im ready if someone peeks around a corner
Depends which variant you are using:
Base variant is best for vehicles and,if you’re lucky,Spartans.
Endgame is best against Spartans due to it’s quick charge time.
Selene’s Lance is powerful against both but you need to aim down a little bit from your target to compensate for the insane recoil.
Normal Spartan laser is best against vehicles, but if you choose to kill Spartans, try and kill one walking away from you in a strait line. That way they can’t see the targeting laser and you don’t have to keep the beam on them.
The recent update to the Splaser hit detection has made a world of difference in using any variant.
Endgame is THE Splaser for light armour and anti-infantry. It’ll work on heavier armour but needs multiple shots that can leave you open to retaliation until the job is done.
Selene’s Lance is for ONI/Ultra scouts and heavy armour. It’s not wasted on lighter vehicles or infantry, but it’ll one-hot many vehicles if you hit the critical spot.
The regular now does it job when it fires, but its charge and cooldown is greatly disproportionate to the rest of the sandbox. It’s no secret, you’ve got to learn your own way to hide the laser until you’re ready to fire to conceal your shot and position. The other 2 don’t have this issue.
An Endgame will get off at least 4 shots before a regular gets 2, and that DMG/Time is greatly noticed on anything not heavily armoured. The Lance’s only problem is the recoil on distant vehicles means it might not get the kill that it should “easily” have gotten. That recoil is lessening in next update.
Here’s hoping the default gets a charge/cooldown reduction (but only slight).
I find endgame really fun and in my opinion easy to use.
it can be used on almost any WZ map but my best tip is to use it on March on storm break.
hide behind the boxes on the walkway leading too fortress and splaser any enemies who try to leave the fortress.
also the laser it fires is quite large, don’t be afraid to go for a no scope
