I’d be keen to play some 2v2 customs. Don’t really have any regular players around my skill level to play customs with. Think it would be fun to run some while there is no official playlist.
UK - 1600+ Onyx player.
Had a bunch of players crash/quit in a ranked Oddball game and it left us in a 2v2. Was pretty fun, would like to play more and practice for the inevitable doubles playlist.
I see a 2v2 tournament is being promoted…but there’s still no sign of a 2v2 playlist.

What do you think they should do for ranked? I know it’s a contentious topic but I really think they need to make any future playlists crossplay and just have solo/duo for the main HCS playlist only.
I’m really hoping with the update they drop new playlists. I’m super keen for Tactical Slayer, FFA and Doubles to be in ranked now as I just don’t enjoy them as social playlists.
They need to give us the option to disable platform based crossplay entirely not further enforce it (no need to get in to that debate tbf).
I think the main problem with a 2v2 playlist right now is that I just don’t see any suitable maps that would be conducive to 2v2 gameplay. Aquarius, Bazaar, Live Fire and Streets are the obvious choices but even they seem too big and don’t have the right layouts for 2v2 so gameplay would feel very disjointed and quickly become a slow paced game of hide’n’seek.
Tactical Slayer and FFA do need Ranked versions but for me Ranked can’t be taken seriously at the moment with the broken server connections and horrendous desync even at low ping. As much as I want new content, these issues have to be priority as the game simply isn’t fun…but totally acknowledge the lack of new maps and playlists makes it boring and stale.
