To be honest commendations actually give me a reason to play Warzone and sometimes Arena. I mean I guess the only good thing from it is you get Emblems most people don’t have. I’ve yet to see a person have the Rail Gun, Spartan Laser, or Carbine emblem.

I have been trying. But you gotta kill tons of grunts and elites. And you can only kill like 4 of them a game. If you get that map

My friend does… for some odd reason. It’s like he thinks they actually do something. But the commendations in this game suck, and give little to no reward. I don’t even see the point in doing them.
Yes, I do. Maxing the final stage of a comm gives 1000 XP which goes toward promotions which give req packs. They also award packs for being maxed out that typically contain unique emblems (AR comm unlocks the AR Start emblem, BR comm unlocks the BR sight emblem).
Yeah, I’ve been calling in all types of weapons on in warzone, to get more commendations. I find them fun and they help motivate variety in my sessions. Achieving mastery with the loadout commendations was easy, but the other ones will be a real challenge.
I noticed them just the other day. Not only do I want to do them for completion, but trying different weapons has really mixed up the gameplay for me. I also get more commendation packs which help with my goal of armor/weapon completion.
also, hate to melt your snowflake, but I have the rail gun emblem (whiplash ftw). Can’t say I’ve run into many carbines or lasers though
I get most of them by accident
I mastered all the load outs, got a cool emblem, really loving my Carbine and DMR emblem!
Yeah, I have been working on completing all of the mastery commendations. Completed the Loadout Mastery, decently close with the UNSC Power Weapons Mastery.
The Covenant Power Weapon Mastery will be a pain thanks to the Storm Rifle (which works well in Arena, terrible in Warzone) and the Plasma Caster. And the Forerunner Power Weapons Mastery thanks to the Suppressor… haha.
I like to complete commendations, they’re like secondary achievements: to spare REQ points, I decided to mantain just those weapons and abilities which I’m not able to find in arena, so that I use them in Warzone for commendations.
It’s a good strategy if you don’t have other money to invest in buying REQ packs, but still would like to complete the collection.

Yup. I usually knock them out progressively by playing (that’s how it was for me with Halo Reach and so far with Halo 5), but I’ve started to take a look and focus on some.

SWAT, you’ll get BR, Pistol, Headshots; Multikills, Sprees, and can even get spartan charge, ground pound and Melee ones.
