Seriously, It takes tons of ammunition, even from heavy weapons, to get past the armor. This may just be a problem on legendary, for me at least.
EDIT: Okay, I now know how that those orbs on the sides are weak points, not just a decoration.

Just shoot the glowing orbs on their sides and they’ll blow up, once they do that the knight roars and exposes its face, that’s the perfect time to kill them.
now Hunters on the other hand are stupidly strong
Just shoot the weak points (glowing orb area), its actually really easy on legendary, provided you are aiming at the spot and you using a good gun.
I think they’re right on par with where they should be. Their not as common as the soldiers so they should be tougher to take down.
I find hunters more annoying. Knights are easy to get headshots on
I actually prefer them now over their Halo 4 versions. Back in Halo 4 you wasted ammo bringing their shields down, only for them to teleport away and regain their shields during the process. They were bigger bullet-sponges than the Brutes in Halo 2.
Now there’s a clear way to take them down that doesn’t require massive amounts of ammo if you have good aim and timing.
I think they designed the Knights to be the Promethean equivalent to the Hunter, although I still find Hunters far more dangerous and troublesome to dispatch with any speed. I ran over a knight once with a Scorpion. He laughed and then blew it up. They can be no joke if you approach them casually, especially if they still have all their armor and they start launching those mortar rounds at you.

Oh, okay. I thought those were just supposed to be for decoration.

Halo 4 knights weren’t that bad. I do think the knights should be hard but not to the point where I end up wasting an entire weapon on them.

Hunters are pretty annoying. I think they’re easy to take out with the plasma caster though.
Well since the Soldiers technically replaced them from their Halo 4 difficulty, I say this was a good change.
that why soldiers became the comen enemy. they were to strong and nerfing them would defeat the point of the new enemy type any way
Prometheans in general are a pain to fight. Covenant are more fair and fun.
Basically what everyone else here said. shoot the gold shoulder joints for their tiny arms, its usually one or two shots with a dmr or br if you hit right on it. then the weak point is the face and back, where you’ll see a huge glowing orb. Kind of like the warden in the campaign.

Holy crap, I never even noticed this. I was just focusing on hitting his back and headshots. Thank you

Always happy to help a fellow spartan

Like I said, if you have good aim and timing, you don’t need to waste much ammo.
Good aiming for hitting their weak spots (glowing parts)
Good timing for headshotting them after they open up since it’s only a split second window.

They aren’t meant to be easy, they are rightly powerful, after all they are the infantry tanks of the covenant.
get a needler.
a needler will burn down a Knight really fast.
They can be tough
I like the challenge and diversity of the enemies.
I agree, they seem really tanky, personal solution is to find a turret and shoot the ever living crap out of them.
