I really don’t understand the desperation of some to attain this armour set. I shall be sticking with my noble honour armour and wetwork helmet.
Meh, Idk really. Also, I’ve never really understood the appeal to the Wetwork helmet…
Meh who has time to notice what armour someone is wearing?
They’re only trying to get it since it is a difficult set to get, so they can show off their achievement. I don’t really think it looks all that good either.
What some farming companies fail to realize is that their actions are going to make it a very unpopular set to wear. Not saying all companies farm, but the ones that do will be the reason.
Pretty much the only good armor in 343is Halo so far has been the remakes of all Bungie’s armor. And a few others that they made themselves, like the Recruit. But most of 343is armor is ugly. Achilles doesn’t appeal to me. I think they took Spartan too literally with that armor. And half the armor looks like weird af.

Along with the noble and mark VI helmets, they are the only ones I think look any good.

Oh, fair enough.
Id say it has more to do with the appeal of having an exclusive hard to get armor. Same logic applied to things like Recon in halo 3. The popularity had little to do with how the helmet actually looked. Which is why few people would ever wear recon after everyone got it for free after Bungie left. Exclusiveness and objectives seems to be more appealing than looks for a lot of people. Which is why people want more objective based armors to work for like Achilles and Helioskrill.

I do. I always look at someone’s armor while/before/after killing them or after they kill me. I also like looking at my teammates armor in game and post game.
“Nice Rogue A-hole!” (Rogue will always have a special place in my heart since Halo 4)
It’s not the best looking armour but it’s bragging rights are quite high.

Hehe. Seriously who designed that helmet?! What was wrong with the first variation…

Ok but I never have time to notice what armour someone has on before/during/after a gunfight. Maybe at the end animation screen but by then I’m doing something in the little time you get between games (not a bad thing)
Just like helioskrill, 343 will release variants of the armor. When this day comes I will be laughing at all these spartan companies who want their recruits to be freaking demigods to join their group.

Same, I’m smelling it!

well said. Its unfortunate that we got what we wanted with an achievement based unlock, so the first thing some groups did was to make it something no longer desire.
