Everybody is talking about 15-16K with double XP but I’m still only getting 10-11K.
Feel like I’m wasting my double XPs here and I can’t figure out why I’m getting less.
Could it not be throwing me into Legendary for some reason? Is there a way to check?
Spartan Ops matchmaking is always Heroic, and gives you 11,900XP with double EXP. That’s the most you can get.

Not this week, it’s set to Legendary.

The people saying you get more XP were probably using the Pioneer specilization
3 to 4 players: Legendary
1 to 2 players: Heroic
If you are using double xp, make sure you have at least 3 players. If not, dashboard out lol.
EDIT: with Fast Track, it’ll earn you an additional 1.1k
I’ve only ever had 3-4 people. Still only getting 5 without and 10-11 with double XP

Remember the more time you are in the Spartan Ops mission the more XP you will get.
When you play with 3 other Spartans (4 total) you get 15.4k XP.
10 minute games, everybody is getting at least 5 kills.

It’s been said but spartan ops xp is based on how long you play the mission. From my experience around 5 minutes will get you around 10-11k xp but the 8 to 10 minute missions will get you the 15k.

I think the time you spent in there also counts.
I’ve been getting 16000 but that’s because of double exp and Fast track perks. When I didn’t have the perk and when it was on Heroic I’d get about 10000

I’ve seen from a few sources a minimum of 8:30 spent in-game and everybody having at least 5 kills is the requirement for max XP out of SpOps and I’ve gone so far as to just wander away from fights to ensure stragglers hit the kill quota but still I only get the “old” XP cap. Unless I’m somehow only getting heroic games, even with 4 people in the game, I don’t know what’s going on.
My last game was 7:50, was in it from the start, still got 14410 XP or something.
The only thing I can think of is that I never played SpOps matchmaking before it got the legendary, and thus, the XP switch, but I don’t think that would actually matter.

No idea mate. Try to go further than 10 minutes with about 20 kills… Maybe the bonus is scaled or something. Just got a 10:45 time with 22 kills on Legendary, 15462 XP.
