They were just more obvious and vibrant than they have been. Should be an option to default them imo.
Yes, yes, a thousand times yes.
Reach’s medals were perfect imo. They rewarded a good number of actions without handing them out for every second thing you did, where distinct and colorful but also worn and grittier than the 2/3 medals, keeping in theme with the rest of the game.
4/5’s medals have this, almost uniform blue aesthetic and it makes it hard to discern which is which in your peripheral vision, and the ones that aren’t don’t follow their original color, Double Kill isn’t yellow, for example, which is minor in the grand scheme of things but meh.
Yes
I personally like how each game has its own set of medals, it spices things up.
I miss them more like nostalgia but wouldn’t be against 343 trying some medals that look less uniform, maybe something like kill a heavy vehicle with a gungoose and the medal is gungoose crashing through a wraith, so basically I’d like combination where the medals are somewhat uniform with unique/hard to get medals being very unformal
Halo 3 had simplistic shiny medals and Halo 4/5 had simpler neon-like medals. Reach however has medals that follows the designs of Halo 3, but with added details and a metalic-like look which makes the medals LOOK like actual medals.
One argument I have against the Halo 5 medals is that there are too many medals that seem more scenario; meaning it will rarely or never happen to anyone unless trying hard or luck was involved. Also, why is there no Showstopper and Yoink medals if assassination is still kept in the game?
I miss the old ones, plus the call outs on which medals you would get.
I like reach medals they were pretty good
Meh. Medals are medals.
My biggest complaint is there’s too many medals. I’d rather take a look at the quantity of medals and try to cut many of them out rather than discuss how pretty they look.

the yoink medal was cancer, you are basically rewarding bad sportsmanship.
I found Halo 3’s medals cartoony and Halo Reaches a tad messy and over designed.
