Anybody else have a hard time winning Warzone games? I’ve been playing this game since it’s been out and I think I’m a pretty good player. However I’m always put on a terrible team in warzone. My win percentage of Warzone as I’ve personally kept track of has been roughly 25%. I even just lost the last 10 Warzone games I just played! This -Yoink- is crazy. Anybody else loose a majority of the time or the usual 50%?? Because the amount of -Yoink- teams I get put on and the team loses while I still do good is horrendous.
As the population goes down if you don’t have a good regular teammates your win percentage will go down because getting good solo players together on a team becomes rarer and rarer. I won’t even touch regular warzone any more. I will only play heroic warzone firefight and some warzone turbo when it’s offered. As a solo player I need max req available instantly to be able to perform because odds are a team will lock the areas down and it’s almost impossible to get to a good req level before being crushed. Same kinda goes for arena. I will only rank in FFA and stick to super fiesta and btb fiesta mostly.

Same here with BTB, I usually just play BTB, regular area or fiesta like you said. Makes sense about less and less people playing.
I don’t worry about it. Just try to have a decent game and get as many Marines as possible.
I too barely win warzone games anymore, but it’s good xp and my company really only needs Marines now for the Achilles helmet.
As a terrible player myself, I find myself on the losing side in large scale Warzone matches the majority of the time. On the matches when I was with a highly competent winning group, they scored most of the kills and I was almost a sidenote.
That’s why’s I prefer to play with my company rather than a A solo queue, we either team up and the communication makes it that much simpler for us to gain a win. Although we do have those games where we mess around or grind out commendations.

Two things:
- Your win percentage (it’s on waypoint) is 49%. Which isn’t bad, considering…
- You have quit 6 out of the past 10 games. Each of these counts as a loss.
I played around 6000 warzone (no FF) games before I started playing with games, and my win % was 47. Play aggressive but smart, kill bosses, play the objective, get top 3 on your team consistently, and you’ll win a lot more
Probably depends on the game, I’ve seen myself become MVP plenty of times and then I’ve had enemy teams that clearly were exploiting maps control, winning at the start…making the game unenjoyable overall. I’ve got to a point where I have to wait until my ‘spawn timer’ forces me to start to continue playing because the mode can be too stressful sometimes then I have to walk away from the game due to how stressed the game can make me some days. Plus there are times where the game-type irritates me due to the poor spawning where I’ve been stuck in a sort of spawn trapping situation.
Plus as a lone wolfer…I think the main problem is group’s being teamed up against…which makes the games themselves heavily unbalanced due to teams being more coordinated, there are times where I just can’t stop dying because of ‘questionable’ situations that frustrate me further.

On certain maps I find you can spawn away from the action and make your way back into the fray on your own terms. As long as your team is holding a base of some sort, choose to spawn back at the core. Obviously not relevant if the enemy controls all bases.
On Apex 7, I literally hang out in my teams nest and pick off Marines on the spire. Can usually get 10-15 Spartan kills supporting teammates attacking the spire and easily 30+ Marines while dying a very limited number of times. enjoyable enough if your team of randoms is doomed from the start.

Had the opposite effect on some games. Where I’ve been spawned in the open and been spawn killed by endless amounts of BR spam making it near impossible to do anything. Even had games where people somehow got to our side of the map within barely minutes to the start of the game and already attacking the side base close to the home base before anyone can get anywhere close enough to capture. I’ve even got a point where I watch how my team is doing, how the enemy team is acting then fall back to my home base because I know in certain situations that it seems pointless to fight back due to how poorly balanced the game can be some-days.
Apex 7 is ok too but I have noticed people trying to get into the nests when they really shouldn’t be able to, makes the game more frustrating. I’ve noticed these rush type teams mostly on Apex, Sanctum and it generally makes me want to rage at the game since it makes the game frustrating.

As I stated, now i’ve been playing it since it’s been out, that’s why my win percentage is 49%. I remember when it first came out I was winning a majority of the time. However as i stated about keeping track, I meant by the previous games i’ve played. Out of 20 of the games I kept track of, I won 6 of them. That is what I’m going off of. You can go and look back at many of the last games i’ve played and you’ll clearly see that it’s not 50%. Also I know that I quit those games, hence I counted them as a loss because of the team getting so creammated from them. Two of those games my team couldn’t even capture our own base, screw that i’m out of that game if that happens.
But as the others stated with less people playing, it’s nearly impossible to win just by being one of the top players.
Yes, I don’t play too much Warzone anymore but every time I do I lose much more than I win. I feel like people just don’t use as many good Reqs anymore. I barely ever see a friendly Phaeton or Wasp in the air or even an ONI Scorpion on the ground.

Probably right about that but the problem with Phaeton/Wasp is the drop rate in the packs aren’t as high as most general Scorprons/Warthogs, etc…
Plus depending on the WZ type…it does seem like teams don’t use them when the score board shows that they could have easily spawned them in modes like Firefight while in Turbo it’s too risky since they don’t last long before being wiped out plus in normal firefight it can be just as risky, people might not feel comfortable using it normal Warzone due to how poorly balanced some match’s can be and in Warzone Assault it can irritating since seen people can spawn mostly wasps and spawn trap people at the start.

Yeah, fair point. Well said.

That’s kinda my philosophy of it. On most of the maps, if you don’t capture the middle base, you’re guaranteed to lose. That’s also mainly based on the map, if it’s Apex it could be a pretty close fair game, or if it’s Noctus it’s a very fair game from there. Where’s a map like Stormbreak, i’ve almost never played a match where the team that controlled the Middle base didn’t win.
Also my mentality on the vehicles is, if it’s one of those gaurenteed to win if you have the middle base maps, I don’t waste my vehicles, because we’re probably gonna win, also the other way around, if my team doesn’t have the middle base and it’s a far score game, why bother wasting it. Also Wasp I’ve noticed a good amount of people including myself use it, along with the Banshee and ghost (probably because they’re cheap). Whereas the phaeton is rare to get in a pack so many people don’t even have it available, but also like i previously said, by the time you get a high enough level, you already almost know the outcome of the game so why bother wasting it. That’s how I go about with vehicles.

I’m also now on an 0 for 8 streak today. I don’t even know why I play this anymore. It’s just one of those feelings that you gotta finish off with at least one win. I’m startin to think it’s time to retire from this game, as it’s no longer a fair fun competition

Scratch that make that 0 for 11. I think it’s time to put that down for the day…

My personal record was nine losses in a row… I was kinda sad when my team won the tenth game in a way.

Seriously, you’ve quit 13 out of the past 20 games. The team you quit from won several of those too
I solo queue so much, and I lose the middle base I would say 80% of the time. I still win a large percentage of those, because I know how to play the game and I don’t give up. It’s harder, but doable.
I’ll be straight up, the fact you quit so many games shows you don’t know how to play. How can you learn if you quit every hard game??? The players you were quitting against weren’t even good. You could have easily won those games if you stayed in and played well. If you want to be a good player, stay in the games and learn.
I honestly can’t believe you’re on waypoint complaining about losing when you quit 60% of the time.

I normally don’t mind the middle base being lost because I know it’s possible to turn the match around, re-capture it but the problem I have found more annoying is when the enemy team try’s to capture the mini-bases that are closer to the ‘core-base’, some times I can handle 1 or 2 players but I have noticed in some games where nobody try’s to capture that base early in the game and then it becomes nearly impossible to come back from in most cases. I’ve even seen coordinated attacks from obvious full team party that use this tactic to rush the base making it not only impossible to defend but also impossible to fight back in any way, which can lead to being spawn killed a lot and by then it’s time to put my controller down till my ‘timer’ forces a respawn then hope I can fight back somehow.
As for Stormbreak I believe I’m mostly having the same problem with that map since it is difficult to retake the middle but there are times where oddly neither team can hold it for long oddly. Also yeh there rare…which is why I’ve been occasionally guilty of ‘stealing’ ally vehicles if they leave it abandoned, I’ve seen it in Firefight too and I would take their vehicle even if it was wrecked and use it to become mvp, yet oddly people leave these vehicles way too often and too often it ends up with the enemy taking it, being used against us. What I find strange about that is they try to leave it…even though they know there going to die, yet I would have rather stayed in and took out as many people as I could instead of giving a vehicle that could wreck our team.
