Anybody else hate Prometheans as enemies ?

It saddens me that it feels like I’m playing an entirely different game when fighting those things. In Halo 4 it was alright for some reason, but now they just seem absolutely annoying to fight, especially the Knights who used to be somewhat decent enemies, no longer feel like they’re polished.
Idk miss the days of fighting the covs, but prometheans have taken over the game

I’ve taken to long to realize that I need to use their own weapons against them and that their weak spot is not the head, but yeah just the whole not having shields that show the damage progression makes them annoying because I don’t get progressive visual cues to the fact that I’m doing damage.
That lack of visual cues other than the final armor break just sort of frustrates me
plus I wish they were in more colors. I know thats kind of silly but I like the colors

Yeah I don’t like them either. They are just annoying to fight. I much rather face the Covies.

Covies dropped in from ships, they fight like humans would fight, dodging to cover. But prometheans just -Yoinking!- teleport all over you. I feel like I’m playing -Yoinking!- Destiny.

What?

the soldiers are by far the worst. They are so annoying…full clips and 10 teleports later and you get 1 kill haha

The Prometheans were perfect in Halo 4. In Halo 5 they were ruined.

Everybody hates fighting Prometheans. The Covenant, or the alien coalition formerly known as The Covenant, are the aliens that we all know and love to kill.

That awkward moment when fighting the Flood in Halo’s 1-3 is more fun than fighting the Promethians.

I just hate how they play and look. I wish the Flood came back instead of Prometheans, at least the Flood are interesting to fight.

On Warzone Firefight, the phaetons shouldn’t explode when you plasma-pistol them… you should have the ability to flip them over to skyjack them for permanent use

I actually liked the Prometheans in Halo 4.

I find it somewhat ironic that they managed to take steps to make their weapon sandbox more interesting while the enemies themselves suffered a noticeable downgrade.

Knights became slower and even more bullet spongy while at the same time losing some of the abilities that made them more interesting to fight. Meanwhile the Soldiers take the most frustrating aspect of Halo 4 Knights(the teleporting) and bump it to 11 and in far greater numbers. Without the natural synergy that came from being so closely tied to knights Watchers feel like they lost some of their purpose. Crawlers are mostly the same but with Sniper Soldiers replacing the sniper crawlers for the most part it feels like they have lost part of their niche.

If all this weren’t enough they managed to make my biggest problem with Promethean encounters(and AI encounters in general) even worse by limiting ammo even more than it already was in Halo 4. Ammo scarcity has been a huge problem with 343 Halo games and it has only gotten worse with Halo 5. Combining bullet sponging/constantly teleportation enemies with the lowest ammo capacities in the entire series is a recipe for trouble.

So long story short I don’t think the Prometheans(specifically the original Knight/Watcher/Crawler) are bad enemies when used properly. The problem is that the changes made to them in Halo 5 have only made them worse and frankly Soldiers are just plain bad. And of course all these problem are exacerbated by the pitifully low ammo capacity.

But the Knights are not that bullet spongy, hit the weak points and they drop quick. I actually find them really fun enemies that play differently then the Covenant.

Can’t wait till we see promethans and flood fighting each other

This, especially the bolded parts.

Its a shame because the covenant is awesome to fight in this game
