Since B.net is for bungie and they arent doing halo 4, does that mean 343 will will be doing all the fileshare on halo 4 on halo waypoint? Just wondering if they answered this yet or if we are still waiting for news on it?
Sit tight, 343 has something in the works though no specifics about how file sharing is going to be handled Halo 4.
We re still in that phase where we are being fed tiny bits of information slowly (though news is finally picking up) so all i can say is be patient and all will be revealed in time.

ya i was disappointed by that haha its how you communicate to each other. also you can if you want to taunt the enemy on what you have been able to do in MM. still scare people with my one pic and vid 50-2 on halo 3 with only dual wielded smgs on the pit to make a strong statement that power weapons are useless when i have dw smgs in my hands.

dual smgs are boss, used to love using them and shredding people down

ya sadly only the anti-dual wielders speak up but on my poll DW istill more popular by almost 2/3 the group on here and i know on halo games themselves its even higher then that. DW made you feel like a spartan, a super soldier. I remember the line went “Can we possibly make anymore noise” pulls out both an RL and SMG “I guess so”
why can’t 343i just have file shares available on waypoint for reach now? something tells me that file shares will be disappointing again in halo 4.

The best possible explanation for this is that the focus is on Halo 4 and to make a separate video service for Halo Reach would take away from that focus, which would be better served on Halo 4 anyways.
To make a video rendering service ( a good one mind you) would take extensive programming, time, and money for game that’s going to become irrelevant come Halo 4.

On-topic: No news on Fileshare yet, but the only feasible way for fileshare in Halo 4 (besides in-game) is Waypoint, I think.
Off-topic: Dual-wielding is Halo. It’s been in there for 2/3 of the main games in the trilogy, and if you’ve watched Halo Legends, read the books, looked at the cutscenes, it’s almost impossible to imagine Halo without dual-wielding. Disappointed that 343 took it out (for some reason) but I still think H4 will be great even without it.

I think that 343 should add in a unsc flying vehicle to the forge game type because it is really bugging me that they dont. For example, the halo reach falcon would be nice and all but what you really need to do 343 is add in the pelican. I mean come on now, there was an easter egg in halo reach on the campaign mission new alexandria where you could fly a pelican so why not add it in for everyone to use!
Halo has moved away from a social, community-based game where sharing stuff in your file share was common and fun, to a sort of mix between nonexistence and boredom.
You can’t even open people’s file share’s in Matchmaking, which is pretty stupid. Very stupid, in fact. But it’s not like there’s going to be any funny pictures anymore: there’s no campaign theater, so half of the source of those pics came from are gone. Clips are pretty stale, Custom Game’s are pretty much unanimously agreed upon being broken, and now with 3 stupid forge maps with each having terrible environments, you’re now going to find as many (or any at all) good maps.
I’m quite possibly WRONG here but I’ve heard in a few places that filesharing might be up on the 10th (Monday). I couldn’t tell you where I’ve seen this but I definately saw it somewhere.

Hopefully thou spartan ops will start becomeing recordable as i have had some funny moments with the AI such as a sudden flying ghost that explodes on the wall, or when i pushed a ghost with my wraith and made it fly a decent distance and then like a perfect NFL pass i landed a wraith shot on it once it touched the ground

you can use the pelican in halo 4, the reason you can’t use it in multiplayer is because:
- it would be too strong, it would take like 8 rockets to take out.
- if you could fit your whole team, or even just four people, players would get ridiculously high multi-kills, like killtaculars.
- if all the weapons from campaign were put into multiplayer, it would be too powerful, scorpion cannon, stronger spartan laser, strong turret, 2 warthog turrets.

I sure hope so. I’ve been wanting to update my skype avatar to recent images of my Spartan_IV for a while now. If we do get fileshare for waypoint on the tenth, that’d be awesome. There’s only one way to find out, though. Only two more days until that time. We’ll get our answer by then.
Halo 4 has its perks inteed, but also its lacks. Aside from what people here have already stated, what with lack of campaign theater, cruddy forge capability, and debatably bland maps, I also feel that Halo 4 lacks interesting custom games. I’ll bet that someone out there has created a very interesting and fun custom game for Halo 4, but I’ll never know. Not until the fileshare issue is resolved, anyway.

Fixing the File Share should be their top 10 priority. If they really said sometime this summer they are not releasing how big of a deal the file share is.
