I haven’t been on Waypoint in a while and I thought I’d make a more recent thread about this. So, any word on the ODSTs in Halo 4?
I think there is a lot of armor sets that could be the new ODST style armor.
i hope they are the suspected spartan 4’s the ones on either side of the master chief in that screen shot, i dont want them to be spartans, i want all the spartans we see to be diffenent, not the same!

The two Spartan IV’s in that screen shot on either side of John are wearing the Recruit helmets.
Well the Armor is back and i think they’ll be wearing Spartan IV Armor in the game. We’ve already seen a couple of campaign shots with Spartan IVs wearing that ODST like armor.
Or i could be completely wrong.

They are recruit helmets. Look up Halo 4 recruit Helmet on Google Images, that Screenshot of the Chief comes up and you can tell their Recruit.

No, I believe those are ODSTs.

They should make the classic armors unlock able only with time and skill.

You can clearly tell there the same helmet in those two pictures. Look at the top of the helmets, all three are exactly the same and the visor shape is exactly the same. The Recruit standing alone picture is looking slight up and off to the side but you can still tell its the same.

So you’re saying that they are the same? Because it sure as hell doesn’t look that way to me. It seems the Recruit has something extra on the visor.
What do you mean? ODSTs in general, Buck’s ODST squad, or just ODST armor?

The White and Steel Recruit Picture is of the LE skin it’s the same armor but the other has the skin on it. How can they not be the same just the exception of there being an armor skin in one picture?

Yeah, some differences, hope you are right :), i like the majestic squad helmet so much,but i have few hope that the recruit and majestic helmet will be different :(.

Because the area around the visor isn’t black around the edges,
Also, there’s something extra on the bottom part of the visor area.
I believe he’s talking about the actual ODST soldiers, not the armor type. Either way, I have no idea as I don’t do any research on my games. I savor the full thing once I get my hands on it.

That’s just the color of the Visor’s rim around the same helmets. Most likely on the LE helmet, the black rim around the Visor is covered by the LE skin but without the skin the Recruit armor has a Black rim around it’s visor. Both are the exact same armor but one is wearing a LE Recruit armor skin.

Where’s the fact that one of those is in fact called the ODST helmet? They are the same helmets but slight variants in the body piece. In all of those pictures, it is the Recruit helmet. Those Spartan IV’s in the screenshot that are standing on either side of the Chief are probably not called ODST’s their probably called Recruit’s because they are wearing the Spartan IV Recruit Helmet. Idk why you can’t seem to get that it is all the same helmet but just slight variants in body piece choice.

I’m actually kinda talking about both. I like fighting along side ODSTs, and I want to have my Spartan IV look like an ODST.

Think canon wise for me a sec. We all know that Spartan IV’s are transformed Marines and ODST’s, maybe we are fighting along side what are ODST’s but they aren’t wearing ODST type armor because they are wearing the Recruit Spartan IV armor. I’m betting there are regular ODST’s else where like on Earth who are wearing the famous ODST armor.
