EDIT: After some lively debate, I think a 0 Point Achievement Titled “I survived the Launch” as Arlocon suggested would be cool. To clarify, I was not looking for monetary compensation at all.

But since they are attempting to rectify the issue will be able to in a short period of time it is not a consumer rights issue
Bugs exist and it sucks that the product was released in this state, but you made the decision to buy it before waiting to hear what the game was like (as did I). It’s a gamble that we all take when being an early adopter. It’s like going to a movie on release night before reading reviews about it. If you don’t like the movie, you don’t demand a refund.
The only way to communicate your dissatisfaction is to vote with your wallet. Don’t buy their next product.

The key here is not us staying up past our bedtimes.
It is getting what you pay for. I am sure that 343i will sort it out. But that is not the point. The point is that MP does not work and people do not buy things that don’t work, or that will for in the future.
A free map, discounted DLC or something would be nice, but I’m not expecting it or counting on it. And I won’t hold it to 343 if they don’t give us anything.

Yes it is.
As a consumer, you pay for something to work straight away. It is commendable that 343i is working hard. But still, I think a small token (extra map or something small) would go a long way to regaining trust.

Also, there is no DLC for MCC.
Its been 24 hours. This is what happens when a game launches using dedicated servers. There will be issues at the start. Previous halo’s never had this problem because it was all peer-to-peer networking

I think this sums it up. Assuming refunds are available, if you’re not happy with the service, return it. Thats what happens in real life. You buy a coffee maker expecting it to make coffee. If it doesn’t, you return it. You don’t expect them to send you free ice cream.
