Any way to simply disable look acceleration?

It’s weird to describe but my aim jerks around even with my accel set to 5. It still feels so prevalent. Is there a way to turn it off entirely?

Have you messed with the inner and outer deadzones, and sensitivity?

Deadzones are set to 0, sensitivity is 7.

If you disabled it completely, using things that use a slow aim mode like turrets would be damn near impossible since they rely on aim acceleration to be able to turn around quickly.

Try setting the outer deadzone to around 5%. I’m on 5 sensitivity, 0% inner, 5% outer, and 5 acceleration, and things feel pretty smooth. Also, do you have another controller to try, or have you updated the one you’re using recently? Sometimes there’s a huge difference between the feel of different controllers, so it might be as simple as trying a different one.

Actually my deadzones were set to 15. But any adjustment I make I still feel my aim going from slow to fast no matter what

The outer deadzone is where aim acceleration kicks in, so set it to 0.

The lower the outer deadzone setting is, the farther you can move the stick without triggering the aim acceleration.

With it at 0% it aim acceleration will only kick in when the stick is pushed all the way.

Are you giving it enough time to get used to? If you’re just going from one extreme to the other and playing a game or two, it’s all going to feel off. I had this issue to start, but once I played around 10 games or so on one group of settings, I got a better feel for it, and eventually figured out what worked best for me.

I don’t think I’ll ever get used to this seeing as how every other shooting game I play doesn’t have this effect on aiming. I’ve had this game since release and it still affects my aiming. I’m so disappointed right now.

Are you using a standard wireless controller?

Have you tried connecting to the Xbox with a cable? Honestly, it could just be the game. The feel is much different than other Halo games and shooters in general.

I don’t get why I need to play this game for hours and hours a day so I can practice looking around. Even fallout 4 has steadier aiming than this lol what happened to halo?
