Any way to sell req packs in bulk yet?

If not, then I can’t believe 343 hasn’t put this in after 2 years.

There was a Google Chrome extension which allowed you to sell REQs in bulk. It was unfortunately terminated some months back as a result of a cease and desist order, but I think it’ll return under a new name. We just don’t know when.

Considering that the original creator has more or less completely disappeared from the Internet, it’s probably not coming back. Ever.

The creator of the extension has posed about it on Waypoint a few times. The cease and resist was due to trademarking issues with the Halo IP. He was in the process of updating it, realising the code to github and resubmitting it to the Chrome store under a new name

I know he was going to do that, but the last update on the extension and code that I can find is from around five months ago, so I’m just operating under the assumption that it’s not going to come back.

I found the extension. Search the web for ifnmllpebfhkkpihacgmnpkjflmdajpn
I installed it in an old version of Chrome and it works.

Edit: It wasn’t available in the Chrome Web Store when I first posted this, but it is available now.

I think the reason 343 doesn’t add this into the game is that by not adding it, they are promoting buying req packs with real money. If you can easily sell all the reqs you don’t want, that gives you a lot of req points to buy more packs. By taking this option away, some players will purchase packs instead. They need to pay for all that free dlc somehow so it makes sense.

Annoying that the system isn’t more efficiently designed but every time something is " updated " in halo 5 all I seem to get is more bugs and totally unplayable games in this instant I would quite happily wait to halo 6 to see any more changes , at which point this is a must !!!

no hopefully they do thogh

Most of the free ‘DLC’ was content that should have been in the game from launch.

I’ll agree that things like forge, btb, oddball firefight, etc. should have been in at launch. However, things like new maps and WZ things count as dlc (even though all the dlc arena maps are just remakes of previous arena maps). They still require funds. And I think that if 343 believes that forcing players to individually sell items will make them more likely to pay for packs, that’s fine with me. It’s a small inconvenience overall, nothing more. This way people who want to buy packs can, and they will be paying for the free dlc for the rest of us who don’t. I’m rather surprised that we were given the option to sell back reqs at all. I also want it to be known that obviously I would prefer if we could sell reqs in bulk, but I just feel like this is one possible explanation for why we cannot. I don’t believe 343 has ever issued an official reason for this and we may never know the true reasoning behind it.

The renamed extension is now available in the chrome web store.:
Sell Reqs Tool
