Any way to region lock yourself?

Im sick and tired of these high ping gamea now,
Out of every 10 games i play i get 1 maybe 2 with a low ping and the rest are 85ms,125ms or 200+

Your simply at a massive disadvantage when this happens, how have you not sorted out allowing people to only play with there selected area.

Its to the point im going to stop playing this game due to the terrible game experience.

Even if the gameplay is solid and i love it, spent plenty on majority of the store.

Is there a way to lock my self to EU servers?

Because it is beyond a joke now 343i.

85ms is a pretty normal ping isn’t it?

Nope everygame i play on eu servers on anygame is 20-40ms, if im on anything other like US etc its 85 or higher and you can tell by the delay

Not even 20 years ago. Servers higher than 50 were considered unplayable at cs:s or quake 3…

I wish they had better dedicated servers. BTB feels unplayable and I’m looking for other titles with better ping/servers for that big battle experience.

Ah fair enough I never use ping data so I don’t know. Just going off of games that force me to see it.

I always have mine on display if the game allows, most the time i just leave the 100+ms games now and then get match making banned in which i play something else

Ah I would rather not know. Just play the game and if it seems laggy I’ll adjust my playstyle for it.

I Quit playing 6 weeks ago.

80% of my matches were 250+ ms ping times (European server - Amsterdam). 20% of my games were at 25 ms - which I know from playing MCC - H5 (which allow me to pick my Server) is Seattle Server.

I’m in Alberta Canada and somehow 343’s Server Selector thinks Amsterdam at 250 ms is better than Seattle at 25 ms. I’m on Xbox One X and usually play like 1 to 3 pm afternoon or like 8 to 11 pm MDT.

Might be worse for you as you are playing outside of peak hours 1-3 pm and around 9/10-11pm probably not as populated for people in your timezone as others might be I guess. If that’s weekday, weekends should be primetime.

With current population you’d like to think you’d still get mostly your region, but outside of my peak hours I find I get a lot of American servers (I’m EU).

Obviously we can’t use geo filter anymore so there aren’t any other methods as far as I’m aware. I’ve tried manually blocking every US server that I get connected to…I believe it works to an extent (as I can see the connection fail) but there are simply too many server addresses to deny and still end up on US servers in over 50% of my games.

Why don’t you keep your opinion to yourself.

Seattle is my closest server and it’s in PDT (which is -1 hour from my MDT), so I’m playing at peak time between 7 and 10 pm PDT.

But nope, 343’s server put me on a Server in Amsterdam which would be a 3 to 6 am in Amsterdam - so you going to tell me that’s “Prime Game Playing Time” for Europe?

The Selection Servers are broken and 343 refuse to fix them and they will ocntinue to drop people and be the laughing stock of the Gaming Industry.

So stop saying it’s the players fault and being a troll.

No you’re right I said peak times for you, I didn’t even consider what time that was in Amsterdam.

There’s really no need to be rude man. I’m not trying to troll. Just discussion. You’ve said your point, I’m wrong. I don’t mean ill intentions. Was offering a potential viewpoint but you’re right, it’s off base.

People here are so hostile damn. Have a xanax.

You went to the official forum for the game to ask about how to manipulate matchmaking? Obviously not a topic that will be discussed here.
