Any way to make the Scorpion drive like before?

Since Big Team is out, i finally got to try the Infinite Scorpion. While I did tear up the match with the main cannon, I had a lot of trouble getting used to driving it. In the classic games the direction youre moving would mostly follow what you were aiming at, but you could drive it at alternate angles too. So you could set it up sideways, and strafe really fast back and forth while firing in vehicle fights. Or you could use left/right to rotate the bottom half for easy zero point turns if you needed to.

But for some reason in this flight there is no way to independently control the bottom half of the tank for creative driving. The only way to turn is to aim the direction you want and hold forward which isn’t good for such a huge vehicle. I see an option for “movement assisted steering” but while controlling with a keyboard, the button maps it displays are crossed out and there are no keybinding slots for it. So I dont know if it’s a complete oversight for PC players that you can’t steer the Scorpion like normal. Worked just fine in MCC. I hope that gets figured out because I really dont want the Scorpion to be a sitting duck since 343 decided an instant Spartan Laser power weapon was a good idea.

So anyway, I’d love to know if somebody has figured out a remedy for this.

The driving on this scorpion is way wonky. I eventually had to settle for driving backwards because I couldnt get the thing to go forwards.

I agree, without independent steering using the movement keys, the scorpion is going to have to be mostly immobile to aim. You’re just as vulnerable as being in a mounted turret at that point, and not to mention trying to shoot and drive and stay away from boarders.

I haven’t driven the tank yet, but I had a bad feeling this might be the case when I saw the toggle option for movement assisted steering for all vehicles with wheels in the menu. Scorpion definitely needs it on on default like it’s always been. Hopefully it’s just an oversight since the toggle option is new.
