I’m just waiting for those helmets to release so I can start playing Halo 5 actively again, because it’s honestly pretty boring right now.
Has 343 announced anything regarding these helmets? I haven’t seen anything on the weekly update posts.
They’re focused on Halo Wars 2 at the moment. They could do either of two things with tonight’s CU. They could solely focus on Halo Wars 2 and go into detail with all the modes and characters; or they could give us information for Halo 5 future updates at the end of the update as a Halo Wars 2 release celebration kind of thing for the community.

Honestly I couldn’t care less for Halo Wars 2, we need 343 to finish Halo 5 first, in fact that should be a priority over Halo Wars 2. Halo 5 is STILL an unfinished AND unpolished game, it’s still not at the state to be called an “acceptable” Halo title.

I have to disagree,Halo 5 is over a year old now. I think they should focus on Halo Wars 2 and get something new and fresh out there. Also,I believe Halo 5 is an acceptable Halo title,it may be unpolished,but it’s not unfinished(imo). I know it has SEVERAL glitches,and yes those need to be fixed,but I think that the last update,Monitor’s Bounty,was the turning point for the game. Before the update the game was unfinished,that much was clear. But I do think they need to focus on new titles,rather than updating a title that’s over a year old. I am excited for the helmets but I’m even more excited with the story of Halo Wars 2.

I’m totally ready for the Recon variant helmet so that I can combine it with the Wrath/Vigilant armor. I’m going to hunt for all the Reach helmets just so I can combine them with the Memories of Reach body armor. 
I do wonder if they are just releasing the helmets without any armor to go along with them. Maybe they’ll surprise us and add more Reach-inspired body armor.
I for one can’t wait for the old MK V helmet even tho idk what armor to use with it
As far as we know, we should expect them early February IF the schedule proceeds as planned.

If you search up Halo Reach’s MK V, there is an armor in Halo 5 that would work well with the 2017 MK V helmet. I’ll let you find out which one it is.
