i’ve been playing Halo 5 since the release date and till now i’m not done with this commendation, i need like 18 kills more, and i’m getting just one kill in a wekk if i’m lucky enough, i just want to know what mode you playing, on what map or what tricks that can help to unlock it
In my experience, Infection is one of the easier methods as most of the time, the infected players will be clambering up surfaces to reach the survivors.
I got quite a few in FFA.
I tried to think of a good way to get these and have up, just play seemed to be the only solution. I still need 5 or 6 more to max out the commendation.
I did get a lot from Oddball when it was up though, having the ball and meleeing people climbing up to get you worked a treat.
I got most of mine in Swat. Since the TTK is so short it’s easy to shoot them real quick as soon as you notice them clambering where as in normal gametypes you’d have to bring their shields down first or just get lucky.
Like Jay said is the best. Just play and don’t concentrate on just clambering kills it’s mainly being in the right place at the right time.
well yeah i got most of them from SWAT and Warzone, this is the only commendation left for me since 6 months i’m working on it but no luck, thanks for your advice guys, i’ll try Infection anyways and see if i’m lucky enough to get any kills today
I play free for all a lot. The way I got it was by getting power weapons, power ups, and throwing grenades.
If let’s say, you have a sniper or a rocket launcher and see that someone is about to clamber, WAIT and then go for the kill.
If you play on maps with Active Camo and you see that a person is about to clamber, follow them around and then hit them in the back.
As far as grenades go, Splinter Grenades will come in very handy here. Just put up a Splinter Grenade as a Spartan is coming up or you can also use regular grenades, but you will need to act fast here. Go for the nadeshot (well placed grenade at the clambering point followed by a headshot).

using Active Camo for a such thing might useful never came to my mind actually cuz mostly i use it for assasination, will give it a try anyways i feel like it’s gonna work

i tried Infection couple of times but no luck, but i still feel i can get kills, just need to get used to maps i guess.

i got around 80% of the kills through Warzone and usually by luck just throwing granades and taadaa, but yeah i played long enough i guess to get anything unlocked except this one so that’s why i felt like i’m gonna need Spartans hints for this one
Well, if I was going to try to get some of these again, I would wait until I was in a very comfortable position in Warzone, and grab some sort of long-distance weapon that can one-shot. Railgun, Sniper, Wraith, Tank, etc. If the person doesn’t see you, just watch them. And when they go to climb, you strike.

sounds good i guess, till now couldn’t get a single kill in Infection, i really donno is it really hard or i’m just unlucky =( anyways it’s time to go back to Warzone, thank you mate! thank you all!
i just started playing Halo 5 couple of days back, i got one i guess so far and it was totally by luck, it was superfiesta and i got it using grenade luncher, hopefully my tip helps

yeah i got one or 2 in each game type, but most of them were from warzone, and right now i’m 1 kill away if you wanna help start clambering whenever you see me xD thanks for the hint btw appreciated.

well have i that feeling too once i finish that commendation it’s gonna start raining “and stay off” medals xD yeah i remember i got it couple of times in SWAT, but right now i’m pl;aying more warzone i even tryied to get it in infection but no luck =( anyways all i need is one more =) wish me luck

One of my favorite commendations to finish. The other being mongoose destroyer and phaeton gunner
the mongoose destroyer wasn’t an easy one but at least i knew what i’m suppose to do, but for “and stay off” many times i get the kill wither too late or too early speacially during SWAT matchs, for now just warzone till i get the commendation and as well as working on our Spartan Company commendations to unlock Achilles Helmet =)
