Any tips for mantis/phaeton commendations?

I’m tired of getting instaboarded or lasered when I whip these out in warzone, anyone know the best maps and occasions to use them or any other tips?

One of the maps in BTB has a Mantis at the start for each team.
WZ Turbo isn’t too bad for the Mantis either.

Otherwise the basic tips

  • Use the Enhanced Radar armor mod - Stick with teammates - Try to avoid corners where enemies might camp - Use cover/ducking when engaging with other vehiclesI haven’t gotten the chance to use Phaetons much but the weak spot is on the bottom so try to stay in areas enemies can’t get good shots underneath. Keep in places where you can use that lateral boost to dodge behind cover.

I have the most luck with the mantis on apex 7 there is some good cover to use for it. Phaetons are usually sitting ducks and get shot down quickly but storm break is the best map to use it on as you can hide above the fortress with it… apex 7 is kinda good for it because you can use the pillars near the spire for cover and pick people off the spire.
