Any timeframe to get basic stuff?

Not that I get the enormous effort it would take and only some dev wizards may know how to do it, but:

Can we PLEASE get a mute function amd tge ability to see WHO is talking in the HUD? Like in… well… EVERY OTHER Halo out there?

I kniw, i know… the so advanced UI you put together the ladt 6 years may not allow it, but maybe theres a workaround to do this…

Im so sick of opening a party just becaise obe guy has to crunch tgere chips right into tge mic or has his volune up to 100.

As far as I know you can mute by pausing the game, then going to the scoreboard and selecting the person you know that’s talking

Pause the game? So it’s not like in every other freaking game by bringing up the scoreboard and then mute the player? wow… i knew the UI designers were bad as hell on this game but this is just… wow

edit: thanks clarification anyway

I’m kinda of surprised that a multi-billion dollar company is struggling as much as 343 has with adding basic things a Halo game has.

It’s been what, 3 months now and they can’t even come up with a road map. Maybe if they didn’t gut the game and learned after a decade to work with what has worked for Halo instead of just what works for them. A simple thing to add to a game wouldn’t have been ignored.

I’m not that surprised by it. It’s pretty damn clear where their priorities were during development and where they are now. The store works perfectly btw.

I understand what you’re saying, but there are a lot off issues I believe they are struggling with because of vary poor management.

Cutting corners seems to be what 343 attempted and it caused more issues for them than they care to admit.

The mute button is buried a little deeper in the menus and takes a few extra button presses but if you look at the Dot above your team mates, by default it is Blue, it changes to an “!” if being attacked or attacking, and it changes to an “X” if they are respawning. That little Dot, will have speaker soundwaves rippling off of the sides of it whenever one of your team mates are talking or making noise into the mic. You can also check the scoreboard to see who is speaking if the Dot isn’t in your sight already.

You can not hear the opposing team anymore since Halo 4 or 5, so you will never hear enemy chatter or trash talk again(unless the talk is coming from your own team).

yeah i know that but in other halos you saw it anytime ion your hud who was talking and you didn’t have to have the player insight.

Just like the party overlay…

Yeah I know, these things should be basic Halo features by now. But I wasn’t sure if you knew about the little dot so I figured I’d help ya out just incase.
